Bicheno - National Whale Trail
Amazing small walk which deserves to be more famous! We were alone on a Sunday afternoon and it was just lovely. From beach, to rocks, fishers... I really loved this walk! Bicheno is such a charming town.

The signage is at the end of the road, the best whale spotting would be on the Rocky outcrop nearby. There signs warning the rocks may be slippery. There are public toilets and shops nearby.

A beautiful bay with plenty to do and some lovely places to stay. If you have time maybe consider a tour to see the Penguins. The local BBQs and a fantastic facility and well worth taking advantage of even if the wether isn’t the best! We loved our stay here overlooking the bay.
