Proserpina Bakehouse.
This was a very cute little bakery! We came here during the holiday season and it was very busy!! The menu was limited but everything you ordered was very good. If you are coming at a busy time I would recommend scheduling to arrive earlier in the day. We enjoyed the croque monsieur and coffees. The cakes all looked excellent as well. There was also a cute shop in the front with lots of local products.

The food is pretty good but unfortunately service is poor.What we loved:The eggs on the breakfast pizza and brekkie roll!Cheesecake was not too sweet and amazing!Wouldn't order again:The chocolate croissant was thick and not flaky, I wouldn't order any or their croissants next time.Poor service:Our coffee literally took 50 minutes to come out, after nicely reminding them 3 times. Apparently it was because they didn't have the large cups to serve the coffee, but is this really an acceptable excuse? We finished all our food and still had to wait for the latte to come.

Randomly found this place on our way out from the mountains.What a treat, delicious and modern bakery/cafe with plenty of sit down areas.Highly recommended, especially after a good walk!

Proserpina Bakehouse.
Stumbled upon the Proserpine Bakehouse while going for a drive through the Dandenongs. Decided to check it out and so glad we did. The food was amazing with a great selection. A cozy atmosphere and incredible, friendly staff ready to help. Plenty of local produce for sale in the bakehouse too, so take your time and browse the shelves.

Nice bakery with a great selection of gourmet pies, sausage rolls, Tarts and cakes. Watch out for the queues though - they are horrendously long. The service doesn't seem to be as orderly which may contribute to the long queues.

Surprisingly the sandwiches and the pastries here are some of the best I’ve had in Melbourne. The egg and bacon quiche was smooth, eggy but really silky smooth. The sandwich that came with prosciutto was amazing. The gypsy ham avo sandwich was just above average. So definitely recommend the prosciutto.

Nice bakery hidden amongst the hills. Abit pricey but great food. Coffee was also nice. Car parking out the back. Worth a visit.

Super cute bakery, really enjoyed their pies and lemon tart! The tomato relish that comes with their pies is to die for!!!!! We ate the beef and burgandy pie, did not expect but welcomed a homemade crust and chunky beef pieces. I think the filling could be a bit more seasoned, but that's personal taste. Could taste the red wine though!It was very busy when we arrived, and they tried their hardest finding a seat for us but we ended up eating in our car. Still worth it.Wish we had stomach space to try all of their cakes!
