Hervey Bay Dive Centre

Fantastic team amazing day, saw at least 3 separate whales in the water (three at the same time!) Plus so many whales from the boat you didn't know which direction to look!Mother and calves were frequent (you're not allowed to swim with them) so maybe go earlier in the season if you want more swim time. The calves were fun to watch though.

Incredible trip swimming with the whales with Hervey Bay Dive Center! Amazing and friendly staff, we got so close to the whales and because of the small group size got to spend a lot of time in the water with these amazing animals. We've been out a few trips with this company any every trip is better than the last. Will be back!

I did my PADI Open Water with Mat in 3 half days. It was simply incredible! Every dive was amazing and we were very lucky underwater!Thank you Mat for your patience and good humour! Thank you also to all the team who is very friendly!I recommend this centre at 1000%, especially for its very affordable price for the quality of teaching!

The crew are absolutely amazing!The skill and knowledge the team have is next level. All instructors are super patient to accommodate divers of all levels of experience and confidence.The amount of sea life we saw was incredible! I didn’t realize how much diversity we had right here on our door step.I would 100% recommend diving with these guys!I was surprised by my ability and what I could actually do. Couldn’t give anything other than 5 stars. Did my open water course here and the staff were so good that I travelled 16 hours back to do my advanced!Prices are very affordable, especially for what’s being offered. My instructors, Matt and Grant are both extremely experienced and easy to follow. The whole team is great to be around, making the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable but also informativeWith regards to the dives themselves, they have some amazing sites on offer so definitely ask and see what takes your fancy. I’ve seen things I never thought I would and honestly can’t thank them enough

Absolutely magical & wonderfully breathtaking to swim with sooo many huge & active whales today!!! Would definitely recommend booking with Hervey Bay Dive Centre for a day to remember! Captain Ed & Matthew were great & in particular Matthew was fabulous with my 8.5yr old daughter. We were able to swim countless times with so many whales & a few times with 2 whales at once. One whale encounter was so close to us when the whale swam underneath it was very special. Hospitality & food was great. A very special day & thank you Harvey Bay Dive Centre & Matthew!

I honestly can't find the words to explain how amazing the entire experience was completing my open water dive.The instructors are BEYOND knowledgeable and really broke it down to a level of understanding for someone who has never even snorkelled before.Communicating underwater was a different experience in the most positive way, I couldn't help but smile and end up with water in my mask.The dive sites themselves were breathtaking, so much sealife and serenity in our waters, it's almost otherworldly.Everyone is so friendly and helpful, no question was too dumb and they all got answered.Can't wait to get back on board for my Advanced

I honestly cannot recommend Hervey Bay Dive Centre enough. I went on the Advance II dive expedition, and it was the trip of a lifetime! The trip was absolutely outstanding and delivered far beyond my expectations. From the fantastic sites visited, to the quality and quantity of the dives, you are sure to make plenty of unforgettable memories and experiences while the crew bend over backwards to make sure everyone has the best possible trip.This is my second time with Hervey Bay Dive Centre, and they keep impressing me their friendliness, professionalism, knowledge, and outstanding service. Just completed their Liveaboard tour - it was absolutely outstanding. The team went above and beyond to make it a great experience. It’s also helps that the diving is world class!Would recommend to anyone and hope to make it back one day.

My partner and i recently did the Whale swim and it fulfilled my life long dream of swimming with whales. First of all the crew were just amazing! Everyone from the office to the boat crew were so friendly and welcoming! Matt who was our tour guide/instructor on the boat was really awesome! He made sure everyone had a magical whale encounter. Matt was very friendly, humourous and an all round top bloke and made sure everyone was looked after. The whale swim was unreal, i had whales swim past me and underneath me it was euphoric! This tour really respects the whales, they make sure the whale's behaviour is welcoming for us swimmers. The boat stops near each whale/pod then once all is ok you get in and have that amazing experience. I will definately be back to do this again. Thankyou Hervey Bay Dive Centre you rock!!
