Terrible service. I took my brand new MJ Bale suit to get altered here, I specifically asked for a blind hem to the trousers, only for the owner to take to her sewing machine and do a very dodgy job all within 5 minutes with a prominent stitch line around the leg. When I returned to pay, I said very politely I was not happy and would like a refund. The owner after much back and fourth demanded she unpick the hem, in fact unpicked it right back to the raw trouser, leaving the suit pants frayed and damaged. Absolutely pathetic and extremely unprofessional. She said “never bring work here again” and constantly spoke over the top of me in a nasty tone. Dear owner, don’t worry I won’t will not be back and nor will my network.

This tailor is simply fantastic. Reasonable prices with quality work.I recently bought Tuxedos suit but there was a problem with the pants and my wedding was in a week... I took it to Looksmart Alteration_Floreat and she sorted the issue within a day.No joke. Fixed everything. Amazing service. You can't go wrong.

Absolutely appalling experience here, every single time.The quality of the tailoring is great but it’s enmeshed in the most stressful experience of the owner just constantly making you feel like you are wasting every second of her existence.I’m not sure if you’ve heard of the concept of customer service? Perhaps listening to what your clients desire when you charge such extortionate prices.

Excellent service and great job. I was nervous as it seemed complex to take in dress at the side zip as well as shorten a frilled hem, all in a very delicate fabric. The fitting was very professional and final result excellent. Good value for money. Thanks so much - I'll definitely be back.

The customer service is outstanding.The store provided a really good service and made the dress precisely how I wanted it.I can wear it to a crucial business event because of this.I was grateful for the assistance I received from the shop.This is very important to me.I wholeheartedly endorse this welcoming neighbourhood company.

I went to Looksmart Alternations yesterday as I have used them previously and was happy with the service. I wanted some labels attached to my son's school uniforms. When I went, the lady was busy stitching someone's jeans and barely looked up as I explained what I wanted done. She had originally told me it would cost $3 per label and once there she said it would be $5 per label as it was more work. I agreed straight away and asked when it would be ready. She said it would be ready by end of day and I told her not to rush it as I was happy to collect it on Thursday but she insisted it would be ready by the end of the day. I got there at 5:45pm to collect it and she was just finishing up. One of the labels was incorrectly placed and she removed and quickly put it on the label. Half the labels were not centred and there were threads coming out of the sides. Some labels were stitched on all four sides and some on only 3 sides. One of the labels was coming off in the corner by evening. When I showed her that I was not happy with the quality - she started saying that she had lots of customers that were happy and I was the first, saying that people should not be fussy about labels that she would take them off and not charge me (not to mention the socks would have been left with holes where she had stitched them diagonally and uneven. I was hesitant to let her remove them after the mess. She then said I had to accept them as they were and she was not going to redo them. She said I should have been more specific where I wanted the labels (which I had shown her but she was busy doing other work when I was trying to explain). The labels on the socks I had asked her to put them on the inside (side) so it doesn't rub against the back of my son's leg, but they were all on the inside back and uneven. She then blamed the label quality - however, the other lady that re-did them had no problem with them. She said she did me a favour by getting them ready by the end of the day when I had said to her that I was happy to collect after 2 days as I did not want her to rush it. At 6:00pm she said her husband was waiting for her and she had to leave! In the end I still paid her for her work as I do not like to exploit anyone if they had spent even the most minimal amount of time - however, I found another lady who charged me less and removed the botched labels and replaced them really well for me. Looksmart Alternations is a definite no for me again. I agreed to the price increase, I gave her lots of time so she was not rushed and yet I was told to accept what they gave me which was labels placed in a rushed unprofessional manner. Do not recommend!

Creating an account because I had such a good experience here.Chanchal made the whole experience a great one.I brought in a winter jacket that was way too big for me, and she altered it so that it fits PERFECTLY. She has all the options you can think of but they're able to make it easy on you by narrowing down the options based on what you're looking for. She did extra fittings to make sure that it fit great. She was also extremely nice and great about making sure I was happy with how the dress fit. Will definitely be back and highly recommended

Beware they charge $25 for a 5 minute fitting even if you decide not to go through with the job. Once I heard the price they would charge to have my dress hemmed I was shocked, so expensive! When I went back she wouldn't let me leave without paying the fitting cost, even though she saw me for all of 5 minutes!! She told me there was a minimum fee of $20 regardless if they did an alteration or not - which I was not aware of beforehand or I wouldn't have gone through with it! I even booked an appointment online and it was like she didn't even know. Also, they are very busy. I saw many customers coming to check on eta of items, and saw them quickly rushing to finish jobs, so make sure you allow extra time to collect (not on the day of your event!)

Excellent customer service, very professional staff. Nav is very talented as she guided me with many creative ideas and helped me to finally reach and make an appropriate decision about the desired alteration in my dress. It's always a wonderful experience because of the friendly dealing of the staff. Highly recommended from my side.
