5 stars, 5 stars. Can't think Greg and crew enough. I dropped in for a casual drink / recon mission with the Mrs on 31 Dec daytime, as I do some work in very high end travel. Initial thought: Wow

First, beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views. The decor is eye catching and gives a high end feel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was a bit slow to come out but we didn’t mind as we just kept chatting anyway. The food is really good but expensive especially given the small portion sizes. I had an entree, main, and dessert. I wasn’t hungry but I wasn’t full either. I think I liked the desserts more. My hazelnut mousse was delicious. The coffee is good too. A lovely place to celebrate special occasions but probably won’t be a frequent lunch or dinner spot.

Manly Pavilion is all about the location, harbour views, and beautiful décor, but beauty is only skin deep.A very disappointing meal and service. We booked on a Thursday evening and were hoping for a fine dining experience. This restaurant is run by very young inexperienced unprofessional staff. The Boathouse is a well-established chain with reputable restaurants at Barrenjoey and Patonga. We ordered and shared the calamari $26 and lamb shoulder $120 with a side leaf salad $14. The calamari and side salad were very ordinary. The lamb shoulder was unevenly heated with cold patches throughout. When we asked to have our lamb heated, we were told ‘that’ll just take 5 minutes’ – so microwaved job it was. This is a large meal and we fully expected to takeaway the rest of our lamb home, but when the waitress transferred the food in a plastic container all of the sauce and juices were missing. When asked about what had happened to all the sauce and juice from our lamb we were told ‘I chucked it out’.They offered a complimentary desert, but we don’t eat sugar. It’s a real shame as we were so excited to eat at such a beautiful restaurant and had high expectations. At over $200 for two people it was very disappointing and we won’t be visiting any of the Boathouse establishments ever again. This establishment is self-sabotaging by failing to train and supervise their staff and should consider investing in employing hospitality professionals.

The view is out of this world - picture perfect Manly looking across the cove. Lots of tables and rooms plus the balcony to sit at. Sophisticated but also relaxed. Perhaps too loud for romance. Yet perfect for a Saturday summer group of friends. I dropped in to check it out. I ordered a glass of Prosecco - two oysters and zucchini flowers as a bite to eat. Downstairs is for weddings, anniversaries and farewells. Social and stylish.

Great lunch spot with stunning views. The fish & chips was excellent, really fresh and the service is friendly and waitresses super polite. Would definitely recommend!

What a fantastic venue. The view alone is spectacular then the food, service and relaxed atmosphere tops off the experience.I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Friday arvo for a work function. After the Pavilion, take a short drive up to North Head for incredible harbour views.

This is a very beautiful restaurant with objects from the sea - large corals, shells etc. worth just going to look at those. A spot by the fire would be nice! Our table was a large white linen affair. The food was fittingly good. I especially enjoyed the olives and the entree “pizza” which was quite soft potato bread with tomato and stacks of melted cheese. Then we had the steak for two which was tender. A lovely night overall and a treat.

Stumbled across this beautiful restaurant on the Manly walk. The view is incredible. Enjoyed a couple of drinks during happy hour in the roof top bar, which is open air. It’s truly a Happy hour! There’s a more formal dining room downstairs.

Pretty loud when they’re busy and staff are friendly but spread a little thin, we waited a while to order a drink. We ordered our meals with the drink order to avoid another long wait. Ordered the Bay Bug Linguine which was well cooked but wouldn’t have you counting the days to repeat. All in all, not bad but could be better as the staff and location are great. Deserves 3 1/2 but can’t add halves.

We had a wonderful dinner at Manly Pavillion. Beautiful view of the bay, great atmosphere and well designed interior. Our waiter Jack did an excellent service and the food was fantastic! Looking forward to our next dinner here! Would definitely recommend the beetroot carpaccio, seafood risotto and bay bug linguine as seen on the photos :)
