Content galore! Brian has spent his entire life collecting the artefacts you see in this museum and carefully displaying them.I found it a little overwhelming to be honest at just how much was there and on display. As someone who doesn’t have previous knowledge on the maritime topic I did find it a little hard to follow through the museum. I did however find lots of artefacts on display of interest and the short stories that were written next to them.Very reasonable pricing at $9 per adult and the most friendly of hosts to accommodate your time in the museum.

$10 entry unless you have concession. If you're even remotely interested in reading about history, this place is well worth your time. It's full of pristine newspaper articles, signed photos, models, old maps/ charts and other artefacts. Although it focuses on age of sail and world war era items, there's also items on Australian naval history, the space program and others.

This is an excellent well documented naval history. It dates way back to early 18th century up to present day. The artifacts are amazing. It I s possible to spend a week there and still not see everything. Naval history of Australia Americs Britain Ireland and many more countries. Drawings of the old ships.Brian the owner has so much knowledge and us very detailed. This collection is over 60 years old. I could not praise this collection enough. It could be compared thd the Louvre. So much stuff. So much detail of wars and reason for failures and successes. So many biography of these men. Good information on wives and also notable women who contributed.. Brian has cataloged his collection so professionally. It is simply an amazing museum and Brian is an amazing host. He has obviously made a terrific effort to collect relevant maritime information world wide. The attention to detail is phenomenalIt is a must for historophiles visiting this lovely town on the bayoffires in Tasmania

Wow this is the most professional private display I have ever seen. Brian has knowledge second to none and the collection includes signed memorabilia, replica models of Old ships to modern day, paintings and all presented beautifully.
