A beautiful restaurant in TumutA lovely building with a wonderful bar with a gorgeous open fireFood was great and staff pleasant and helpfulI told them when I booked it was my wedding anniversary I think a glass of champagne would have been a nice touch as we felt 45 years was very special

Enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Mendrinas recently. The interior was gorgeous with lovely table settings. The menu was interesting and catered well for gluten free preferences. The prices were good for such quality but the portions a little on the small side. All dishes we had were excellent, the trout carpaccio, lamb rump, crusted cod and the orange and almond cake. The Dutch lady owner was really friendly, professional and welcoming. We would definitely return if ever we are in Tumut again.

Such a lovely place to stay and dine. The rooms were spacious and super clean. We loved having a communal lounge and kitchen. The dining experience was exceptional. The food was amazing. Honestly couldn't fault our stay. We will be back!

Only gave this restaurant 5 stars as we couldn’t give more! What a beautiful night we had, it was a Birthday dinner with a bang! The cocktails were beautiful & the food was amazing, this restaurant is a credit to woman running it, the staff serving us were so attentive and lovely to talk to, the feel of the restaurant was classy & decor gave an old world charm.

We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Mendrina’s. The staff were friendly and helpful, not at all stuffy but also very courteous. We shared the sourdough entree with whipped feta: had no idea it would be so delicious with the chanterelles and roasted baby tomatoes. Amazing! My husband had the steak: loved it and I had the pistachio crusted cod which was delicate and flaky, not at all dry and complemented by the two purées.I also had a very more-ish cocktail which I’d come back for again! And sit outside next time gazing at the beautiful view from the terrace. Incredible value for the quality of the dining experience. We wish you every success and will be back next time we visit Tumut.

Fantastic friendly atmosphere, quality food, cocktails were excellent. A boutique restaurant feel. This business is worth supporting to keep as an ongoing concern. I already know what I want to try next time, and looking forward to see the seasonal menu changes.

The food is always amazing and well priced for the quality. We always love the service and friendly nature of the staff who are very patient with a 3 year old and food allergies. Highly recommend!

Meals were fantastic! Service started out well, but then staff seemed to disappear. We couldn’t find anyone to ask about dessert.
