Southern Cross Sheds Sunshine Coast

I required a 1.2m cantilever awning on the front of my shed to keep the weather away from the roller door openings, after getting knocked back by two other shed companies!!? I was feeling disappointed until I walked into Southern Cross sheds on the Sunshine coast.I was met by lorelle who started my shed design and had a can do anything attitude , that was a breath of fresh air for me.I came back after the weekend, Lorelle was away and Ricky helped me finish the design, I got a 1.5m awning and .5m eves all round and helpful tips to improve the size and design of the shed.The office was prompt and efficient to deal with.The builders were courteous and efficient . As with all projects, I needed to pay attention and have good clear communication during the project for a good outcome.Ross

I was dealing with Lorelle from Southern Cross Sheds Nambour and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the design of my new shed. Would thoroughly recommend these guys if your looking at building a shed.

These people have had a couple of she'd companies. We got one of their sheds when they were Tuff Span. There were so many things wrong with the shed right down to the installers using blunt snips to cut the tin, walls being too short and barely covering the slab. It's a real mess of an installation. There were Band Aid fixes provided but I still live in regret meeting Leon and Debbie.

It's been 2 years since we had a shed installed by Southern Cross... the initial (pre-sale) service was great. What followed wasn't even close to being great.1. A critical dimension was messed up by the sales guy (or at least he got the blame when it was highlighted)... we get to live with the outcome every day.2. The subbie who was used left enogh rubbish ranging from offcuts and cover sheets through to a box worth (maybe 500+) screws scattered around the place. A day of cleaning up and a few dump runs sorted it out.. Wehen contacted we got the we don't clean up" line.... REALLY??? Read the find print in the contract.... and deduct what you think is appropriate for YOUR time or what it's going to cost to pay someone else to do it off the quoted price...3. Screws installed with sharp ends facing inwards... there was no need for this

Great staff, super helpful sat down and designed our shed with us Nothing was a hassle and took the time to listen to what I wanted to build and because they have so much experience it was a really easy process.Shed was delivered to our property promptly would highly recommend this company for their professional service, and great quality product !!

Shed approved few weeks ago now and expecting our shed to commence in June 2021. No communication as to delays or any issues despite request for a call from the principal builder nothing. Just an email asking us to sign an extension variation for practical completion to be extended to 3 months due to rain delays? This was to be a 12 x 12 shed . no start date just a verbal maybe October sometime due to lack of builders . After starting our process Feb 2021 may not see anything until 2022. Our 6mth old colt will have no where to go if he gets unwell through winter which is what the plan was . Quite shocked at all this as they came highly recommended . Not off to a great start Southern Cross Sheds .

Southern Cross Shed's did a fine job of turning my plans into a reality. As a former shed builder myself & qualified sheet metal tradesperson, this project was far too big to tackle myself. A 4 bay machinery shed with a 2 bay horse stable & enclosed tack room, a 4 bay carport high enough for a caravan & an absolutely huge workshop. All up, an undercover area of 435 square metres. Great price, regular communication, great job & excellent to deal with!

My dealings and support from Ricky have been top notch. There are 2 sheds - one straight forward and one custom stables. Nothing has been too much trouble with many positive suggestions to resolve design detail issues I had not considered. The support advice for an 'owner installer' is excellent and has resolved issues in my understanding of the methodology. I will say that the installation detail literature provided assumes some 'insider' knowledge or experience and could be expanded. Initial delivery was as promised. With the couple of parts that arrived damaged, missed in transport, etc.I sent a picture for verification - the replacements were here within a couple of days no questions asked! I organised my own builders/site works and so that side of the works does not reflect on Southern Cross. Still working on finishing the 2 sheds but would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I've bought 5 large sheds from Southern Cross over recent years and found them to be excellent quality. The staff are good to work with so I am surprised to read the critical reviews here. Recent steel price rises and shortages have no doubt added to customer frustrations, I think SC Sheds would do well to install a Customer Contact software program to smooth out communication issues listed here. Personally, I have found them to be friendly and accomodating though sometimes overwhelmed with work.
