What an unexpected adventure! We started at Dark Commons Reserve and walked through talk eucalpt trees with flora undergrowth. Walked the Tramway Route. We diverted on the left coming back and found the most outstanding views. Lillian

Gorgeous lookout, easy access, great place to take a coffee and chill. Great spot for a picnic.

Ross Lookout
Ross Lookout is one of the best lookouts in western Sydney - the pros of it definitely are the fact that it's almost 100% of the time empty or very minimal people. alot of flat rocks or picnic tables to eat at, be careful with little ones as rocks are not fenced

The walk to this lookout is easy. You can see Penrith from this lookout - and part is the Sydney metropolitan area. The Blue Mountains rail line operates beneath this lookout. The track to the west leads to another lookout - it’s about a five minute walk from here. There’s a picnic area about 400 metres west of the Ross Lookout. #BlueMountains

Great views of the valley if you venture past the lookout onto one of the paths that lead to the cliff edge. No powerlines in the way of photos if you do that.

The access to this lookout is along a rather well worn (for the want of better words, its like a goat track) and in desperate need of some upgrading maintenance to bring it up to a safe standard for any able body walker to use. This track is not suitable for disabled persons or anyone with strollers. The views from this lookout are impressive looking in an easterly direction towards Parramatta and Sydney in the distance.

Easy access, 5 min walk from car park. The view is awesome and spectacular. Try to visit early morning to capture sunrise or late afternoon to see the beauty of sunset. Facilities are basic so bring your water. Suitable for families with kids. Highly recommended.
