The reviews definitely lived up to the hype. From the moment I stepped into the salon, Otis and his partner Lucy made me feel very looked after. I booked for a blonde toner and a hair cut / blow wave.Otis listened to what I was after and explained his colour choice for toner. He took the time to explain one of his techniques of cutting hair and used a mirror to show me the back of my head and what my hair looked like now and described how it would look after.His technique it is very unique, unlikely you would have experienced it before but just go along with it!!Otis also took the time to talk about caring for the regrowth phases of my hair in future so it would look good at each stage. This was to address some parts of colour (from a previous salon/stylist) that I wasn’t 100% happy with. This was on my first ever visit, so I was already feeling like I could fully put my trust and hair in his hands.As you can tell, I am really happy with my hair - the customer service and great atmosphere in the salon was fantastic. I am looking forward to my next visit there.Do yourself a favour and book here - you will love it, and if for any reason you don’t, Otis guarantees his work.

Best hairdresser I could have used for my 13yo daughter and her unruly hair. Seriously great cut, better conversation and a pleasure to pay for such great down to earth service. We live a long way away and we will be back for all her haircuts.

Otis is a technical and creative genius! My mum and I walked out of there with the best haircuts and colour ever and on cloud nine. His customer service and comms are flawless and it's such a great space. Cannot recommend highly enough. A+++++

So I came here based on the recommendation of all the amazing Google reviews I've seen and now that I've had the pleasure of having my hair cared to by Otis a few times I thought I should return the favour.Otis is wonderful. A sweet, genuine, kind, empathetic human being. He's also down-to-earth, insightful and wise. I was honestly never the kind of person to want to have a chat at a hairdressers, but with Otis it's just like chilling with a wonderful friend. It's also lovely when he has two clients at a time and we can all just chat about life - it feels like a real safe community space. Separate to that, and luckily for everyone that loves spending time with him, he knows hair. I'm a woman with short hair and I first went to Otis when I first shaved it all off and he's been there for every bleach, cut and colour ever since. He's the perfect balance of truly listening to what you want and being able to recommend what he thinks would work for you. He doesn't sell you services you don't need - all he wants is for you to look and feel your best.He loves his customers and they love him. He is the hairdresser heart of Collingwood. Super inclusive and LGBTQI Friendly.I have found my hairdresser and I am never letting him go.
