Taggerty River Cascades

Really wonderful set of falls. The best photography is done upstream of the Lady Talbot Road bridge. A little hard to get to at the moment because the road is closed again due to fallen trees. I imagine Parks will reopen the road after winter.

Great little hiking trails

I often arrive at a waterfall and think this is really a cascade but in this case it's opposite. Parts of the cascades are more like waterfalls. You have two options at the carpark. Go upstream which is ascent or downstream which is decent. We took both options but not at the same time. You have boulders, cascades, ferns, beech trees, eucalyptus and fungi. Probably one of the most scenic areas I been in. So, the cascades cover around 300 meters up and down and there is a longer walk there which we didn't do. Have an hour or two to spend soaking up the natural you won't be disappointed.

Amazing rain forest. The waterfall and the dense vegetation around create an atmosphere like a tropical forest, wet and rich. Is a easy trail with a lot of steps and some tree in the way.

Lovely little walk to see what essentially is a small waterfall. Fairly easy walk, in June 2023 it was very wet, green and cold! Be sure to rug up, and be careful of leeches.
