The Grand Motel
There is nothing grand about this motel! Great location but don't be fooled by the reception, it's all downhill from there. Pool is in the cellar and tiny, spa is not working, laundry is a washing machine in a hallway and the rooms, well you gotta see it to believe it!!

It's a great place to stay for a weekend or a few days. They have a lot of rooms. Views of the main street. Rooms at the back aren't so nice for the view but the rooms are alright.

Called to check for a free room. He told me there was one free room so i took it. He wanted to know my credit card number to make the payment, i told him I’m down the street and would be there in a few minutes so i can pay there.He: “im not waiting”Me: “not even 5 minutes?”He hung ip, i tried calling again but he denied my calls.Not very good for business to have a hothead as a receptionist

It was a clean and tidy room with just what we needed for one night. Private secure parking was a plus.Walking distance to our dinner spot so very convenient for us. Booked the room 2 hours before we actually arrived.It is a budget price but it covered what we needed for one night.No window in the room, didn't bother us though.

Not Grand! May look a little ‘Grand’ in the foyer, but that’s where it stopped. The room was dirty, pillows smelled funky, half the bed had caved in and there was left over food bits on the floor as well as desk chair. TV was peppered with some dried-up brown liquid (coke possibly?), brown spray/liquid on the bathroom floor and vanity, and the room carpet was stained/spotted.Someone from housekeeping had serviced the room before my stay but it was really poor, and the room was looking pretty tired. I couldn’t bring myself to sleeping in the bed and considered sleeping in the car. After being unable to find other accommodation, I ended up going to woolies, buying a pillow and blanket to sleep on top of.The lady at concierge was nice and accepted my complaint when I brought the issues to her attention and offered to 're-service' the room. After she 'reserviced' the room I returned to find that she had mopped and maybe done a quick vacuum, so thank you.But there was still food crumbs and sticky liquid all over the TV screen, which I ended up cleaning myself.I value my health and hygiene and have been scared by this experience. I will steer clear from this hotel in future and just hope that all other travelers in future dont have the same experience I did.

The Hotel was nice specially for the price, receptionist was friendly and helpful. The rooms spacious, maybe just a touch run down but nothing too bad everything worked, bathroom had all you needed. The bathroom was in in need of a bleach out as mildew has built up in the shower. Underground parking was secure with access from the back lane with an elevator up to your room. I'd stay there again.

My partner and I stayed 1 night, we found it quite nice. The room was clean and a descent size. Bed was very comfy, staff were nice!The only downfall was that I booked the hotel for the pool and spa but these facilities were all broken. The spa was very cold, none of the jets worked and the actual pad with the buttons was loose and falling out. Seemed a little unsafe. The sauna was out of order.After reading these reviews it looks like these have all been out of order and broken for years and years. I definitely think the photos and description NEED to be updated because it is very misleading and disappointing.The room was nice, matched the photos and what we expected though.
