SSAA Eagle Park Range

First time at the range today and was disgusted by the range officers and the lack of training and double standards in dealing with aggressive range users and blatant rule breakers. An individual threatened the entire range when another shooter shot his target. I can understand the level of frustration he would have had, but to threaten other range users with violence by saying he will sort them out" and the excessive use of vulgar language

I’ve been going to this range for a few years now, the office staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is a good variety of ammunition and accessories available.The range officers are also friendly and extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help out or answer any questions.The on-site cafe has a great menu of hot and cold food, drinks and the staff are friendly.

Friendly staff, they explained everything clearly, and made me feel at home with what I went there for. Highly recommended!

Awesome place to go for a shoot. Clay shooting here is good too but hard for beginners. Range officers are like hawks so its very safe.

My friend and I attended the rifle range today. It was my friend’s first time at the range, a fact that was made abundantly clear to the staff by us. An employee by the name of Gary was extremely rude, spoke to us like absolute dirt and even yelled at us at one point despite me asking him several times to lower his voice. I suggested that perhaps if he had taken the time to explain the range rules to my friend instead of presuming he knew them - the whole thing would have been avoided.Gary said it was our fault, because we didn’t read the signage. Again, I explained to him that the there is no signage at the entrance for us to read. He then told me that we can in the wrong entrance. We followed the instructions exactly from the lady at the front desk, and the entrance we used was open and was being used by many others. I’ve attached a photo that proves this.Do yourself a favour, and train Gary how to speak to people in an appropriate manner. Yelling at people does not help anyone’s cause.

I paid for a membership and can't even get a berth here. Is it because I live at Portarlington which is probably a good hour's drive away - or is it because no other day but for Saturday suits them when I'm usually unavailable because of church? Like, can I get a refund, please?

Love the range. Rangers are fantastic and strict which is good. Can shoot any calibre up to 50mm. Onsite cafe is great too and can enjoy a feed and drink after you're finished for the day

Great place to spend the day on the week ends. Friendly staff are very focused on firearm safety and preserving the reputation of licensed firearm owners. Feel free to ask staff questions to avoid misunderstandings.
