The staff at Fairfield Veterinary Hospital are super nice and helpful in regards to treating my cat Gobbles. Doctor Rob was extra careful and cautious when treating my sick cat I can tell that he is very experienced and loves what he does. Doctor Moni was very nice and very understanding and empathetic towards our situation. Nurse Kelly is friendly and clear, making it easy for us to understand and also very helpful with the entire process. The best experience was the in-house clinic pets that they have, Potato the French bulldog was super sassy and cute, Socks is super chill and friendly and Rain as well. From what I remember, those lovely pets were adorable and all adopted by the lovely staff at Fairfield Vet Hospital. While waiting for our appointment we were pleasantly entertained by the clinic animals. Thank you all for making my cat Gobbles feel her best again.

All my pets (past and present) come to this clinic, so it was about time I shared my review!Honest, experienced, compassionate and friendly sum up my review. If you're looking for a clinic that will NOT give you misleading information to extend the number of visits you make to them, this is definitely the right place to check out!Dr. Groat is incredibly experienced and has been able to tell every time something was wrong with any of my pets. He is straight forward with the issues and has always provided the most appropriate advice for our animals, which I really appreciate. While a lot of people take this for granted going to a vet, I have unfortunately experienced otherwise elsewhere.Long story short - my late golden retriever had lymphoma. His liver was failing and there was no saving it. At the time, my only option was to visit the closest vet to home (big mistake), who diagnosed my dog with a stomach virus. I knew for sure that something was not right, so I asked a favour from somebody to drive us to Dr. Groat. He very soon told me that Lucky had obvious symptoms of liver failure in its later stages and that he would not last the fortnight. He warned me that, at the stage Lucky was at, treatment was only going to extend the time he was in pain and cost me thousands for it.Holding onto the hope that specialists had given me (with results like 80% chance of remission" that suddenly turned into "30% chance" overnight)

Wouldn't agree with amal and her experience. Visited yesterday with my pup Logan a 3 1/2 month old rottweiler cross. 3rd injection was not a dollar more than what I was told.$107.. extremely well priced. Only 20 minutes wait with No appointment. Logan and I weren't even aware he had the jab whilst conversing with the vet. Painless. Happily weighed him upon request. Friendly staff, and eager to give good advice. Fellow owners and patient visitors are More than happy to give great feedback when they meet you in the waiting area on their great experiences there by vets and staff. Would HIGHLY recommend. Will exceed high expectations.

I’m from interstate, visiting family, and had concerns with my Cavoodle pup. On my mum’s recommendation, I dropped into the clinic for assistance. I can’t express my gratitude enough at the prompt, caring attention received. I was greatly relieved. Thank you doctor and your trainee.

I been going there many time I now understand that there not real professionals I took two baby stray kitten in that was very sick they gave medicines but didn’t help I had to call the animal rescue to take then in there care I spend almost $600 on these kittens and when I take my rabbits there don’t seem to know what they doing I think they do it for money not for the animals welfare I only I knew before but I know now there not real professionals and need more training to be able to treat animals the right way especially when they seriously ill

We have been taking our pets to Dr Groat for over 20 years. He is not only a pragmatic vet he is very caring and definitely not in it for the money. It saddens me to read the 1 star reviews, they look like a vendetta rather than an informational review.

Firstly I would like say I’ve been coming to this vet clinic over 15 years thank you Robert for taking care of my very first childhood pets and recent pugs. Dr groat is hard working, trustworthy, compassionate about animals and I appreciate the times you explain to me about my pet symptoms with vet clinic booklet. I will continued supporting your veterinarian business when your at the vet clinic only.(moni) Munria is a money thief and liar. If your going to start scamming at a vet clinic it’s criminal offence what you are doing especially behind dr Robert back. This vet clinic good for walk in my pugs has a history so I would know what medicine they have on record for my pet. On this day dr groat Robert wasn’t in the clinic which I would recommend seeing him . I arrive in the morning was served by kelly she is always friendly and helpful when visiting the vet clinic; total $50 as I just came to pick up the medicine/consul paid in full cash photo evidence in the first receipt attach in this review. I told her about my pug cough and will come in the afternoon. In the afternoon I took my pug in moni was there she gave me tablets cost $41and paid $55 for consult. She added the dog cough syrup again on my second paper receipt. Total added up to $120. I handed in $120. Paid in full cash. The total should been $94 but it doesn’t stated in the receipt? Shows $70When I spoke to her next morning over the phone I ask her to show me the camera. I was told she don’t have access to it as Robert isn’t in the clinic his away on holidays. When I arrive she said there was no left over change from the till. Duh because you clearly stole the money before putting it in the til.I made a mistake for not paying by card because if I paid by card I would had proof.Update; I visited the vet on Saturday Robert was in he did check the record and it did stated I was charge twice for the medicine. (I’ve been coming here many years I never had a receipt that was stated two different prices and medicine shown twice). I told him not to worry about the $50 I would like my $25 for a pet medicine I was charge twice. The $25 return will go towards my pet insulin. My advice is please do the right thing and if you made a mistake apologise.

Fairfield vet saved my dog!I brought Skylar my young German shepherd puppy in with a suspected paralysis tic bite by the time i noticed it her legs had completely given out and she couldn’t walk, within 5 mins they had found and removed the tic and gave her the anti venom.Me and my partner will never be able to thank the team enough for everything they’ve done

I visited Dr Groat and Kelly for our new kitten who needed a general check up. The team here is professional, friendly and easy to talk with. Very pleased to have found a vet that will look after our furry friend for many years to come. Would definitely recommend this place.
