Internet is not good only 750mb a day signal is weak.And kitchen is not very clear.But will find job for you. Room and toilet is so so if people is not too much.

Spent 4 month's here, loved it.Owner's Lynn and Darren were lovely people, felt comfortable to go to them for any advice, whether hostel, work or personal related, same goes for their 2 other main staff.Rent, fast food/snacks and bar/beverages all very fairly priced. Pool table, karaoke, ping-pong, large field on-site, plenty picnic tables/chairs, indoor+outdoor lounges, plenty to chill to during time off work.Few minutes walk to town center/supermarket/pub.It is primarily a working hostel, and, being a whv-backpacker, they found me a farm to work on within first 2 nights stay, with transport too. They also ensured we were being treated well, at the jobs they sent us to, so if you've had bad experience in farm work elsewhere like me, be assured Brook Lodge will find you a good environment to work in, much unlike my experience with work from HTS.I spent 4 months there, after a planned few weeks because it felt like the best place to work/chill overall and they always found me a new job within 1-2days, after one ended, all good experiences. Accommodation heating/plumbing could do with some upgrades but for the price I was paying and the hospitality and care the staff gave, I cannot complain and would definitely be my number 1 choice of working hostel close to Perth.Loved the hostel, loved the staff, loved the residents, loved the work, nice quiet area too.

There's a pool table, darts and ping pong. We got a job really fast. If you are lucky the room has an A/C, some rooms don't and the price is the same.On weekend the hostel is way too loud, people screaming and shouting half the night.A no go are the toilet; the hostel has over 100 people and only 6 toilets in total (3female, 3 male) and 8 showers. And it looks exactly like that.Same with the kitchen which is most of the time an absolute mess.If you don't have a car they offer transport for 5$ every day.

Relaxing beautiful and well maintained place which make you want to stay here forever. The game room has many game for you to kill your time here or just simply walk around the beautiful garden. Owner are the nicest people in the world!Very close to city. 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. It's our second year back to this place. More to come!

I'm arrived at the hostel already having a job, they asked me where I worked and they asked me if I could give a lift every day to the hostel guys at work obviously under remuneration, I said ok. The hostel kitchen has 16 stoves and more or less half of them work, the hostel obviously superbusy so cooking is a challenge. The rooms are never cleaned and the result is always full bins, several nights a fire alarm started ringing for half an hour. On the last day, I had to pay for the last night and I politely asked if they could deduct the price of the night from my deposit (a whopping $ 100) as the next day I would be leaving and at that moment I had no money because the boss was not paying me from three weeks. the answer of the rude owner was: We ToO wE HaVe No MOneY FoR PaY ElECtriCiTyI've never been paid for the lifts of 3 people thai I gave everyday.Worst hostel in Australia that I have been to.2 Start just because the cheap bar and the nice backpackers. Sell your business guys

My partner and I stayed here last year when we were on a WHV, I’d come down from Broome after being offered work in the local area. The hostel was nice, a bit antiquated, but it had a country charm to it. The staff were lovely and the hostel was always clean. Definitely bear in mind that this is a working hostel, so there’s lot of early risers!

As a regular Munda Biddi rider this place is an absolute gem. Lynne is very helpful and friendly and always makes my stay very comfortable and enjoyable.I always look forward to Donnybrook and stopping at Brook Lodge. The owners typically put me and my bike up in my own room and make me feel very welcome and at home. They have great factories such as the very reasonable priced bar, washing and cooking areas and also ample outdoor places to relax.As a regular visitor I highly recommend Brook Lodge for all fellow Munda Biddi riders as part of their MB experience.

The hostel is okay. They do provide work but it also depends on which time of the season you're there. Rooms are pretty clean and overall it's clean. There are a few rules that you gotta follow but normally you won't get bothered by them. Wifi is alright but it's limitide which can be quite annoying from time to time.The staff is super kind and very helpful except one. This person doesn't seem to like *** job :)Although I would recommend this place and I'd be happy to come back!

Owners are the nicest people, super accomodating and really care about their residents.One of the best hostels I have stayed at, I'd recommend it to anyone!Also really cheap and nice kitchen.

I stayed 3 weeks at Brook Lodge, Lynn and her Husband are so helpful! With all my worries, I could come to her anytime, whether it was visa applications, questions to document or questions about anything, she was always loving, and helped me anytime! Never had to give before the hostel owners so much and also take care of their backpackers so well! The prices are super fair, whether it’s rent, drinks or food. I had a great experience, got work very quickly after, 1-2 days!!! only recommended ❤️
