The Red Lizard Camping Ground

Beautiful place to spend some days. Quiet and hidden away from the road. Firewood available, amenities in excellent conditions, fireplaces and camp kitchen available. We were there in June but if you would be visiting in summer there are a lot of trees to offer shade as well. A lot of birds to see.

This was a great place to stay. Relaxed with great facilities. The shower and toilet block was spacious and clean. The camping spots had lots of room and had available shade. Dog friendly and there was a little gift store. Will definitely be staying again.

Stopped overnight with my dog, was great. Nice clean showers/toilets.

We can't recommend this place highly enough. The grounds and amenities are immaculate and the location is great. It's close to town but just far enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. There's great fishing spots close by and the owners were really nice. They gave us tips on where to go in the area, told us where the best shops were and even brought in some tools to help us with our car when we had a problem. If you're passing through town or staying for a while, we 100% recommend staying here.

What a Gem!Lovely clean camp site, having absolutely more than you would ever expect and spotless!The bathroom facility is so clean and spacious, you won't think you are camping, the outdoor kitchen, seating areas and laundry....exceeding all expectations.We stayed 2 nights at an unpowered site, there is fire pits to use and free wood. There is many neat bins to use over the site. We were surprised that even the ash was cleaned out the fire pit after the first night. The staff is friendly and lots of space to camp or park.Short drive in to the town.We actually found this gem after we booked a space in a caravan park in the Chareville, the staff at other park was so rude we decided to leave and what a good decision it was as the Red Lizard Camping Ground relaxed us and brought us back to holiday.Thank you and well done to the owner and staff at the park

Fantastic little stop right on the main road. There was lots of shade and space. Staff were really helpful and the amenities clean with good showers. Best of all was the bird life with several rare species found here.

Lovely peaceful park with great amenities and friendly managers. Dogs welcome. Close to Charleville. We really enjoyed this park and extended for 2 more days.

Such a fantastic camping ground. 5 min to the Cosmo Centre and 10 min to Charleville CBD.It's peaceful, owners are fantastic and the amenities spotless.Such a hidden gem! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had a really good 2 night stay - power and water to site - tones of space between you and the next site.Small camp kitchen but you are not missing anything with free BBQ.Really good useful laundry.CLEAR shower block and HOT water. Shower cubicles were huge and tons of space without water going all over the place.6km out of town - highly recommended
