I've had a great time dancing at Bottoms Up for a few years now and tried out a range of classes. Teaching is of a consistently high standard, with a focus on safety, building strength and correct technique. I've made many friends at the studio and found the environment supportive and body positive.The street is safe (no strange people 'lurking' as another reviewer mentioned) and right next to the bustle of Lygon St and a big artists studio.A great studio to check out for beginners and seasoned dancers alike!

Low value for price, some of the instructors are talented. However there are much better pole schools in safer areas, there are always drug addicts lerking near the premises. Would not recommend for women.

The best dance school I have attended in my life. I have been going there for the last 7 years and it has been one of the best things I have done in my life. It is the most supportive and safe environment to explore different types of dance, welcoming to women and men from all walks of life. The teachers are talented and diverse providing thorough course content and the end of year shows are always a highlight!

Great venue for dancing - yes there are mirrors. Feels like a classic ballet studio complete with practice bar all be it with retractable bars hanging from the roof. Have only tried the Rad fitness classes and they keep me bopping all week. Fun fitness while reliving the best hits from the 80s and 90s. Ally is really supportive of first timers and makes sure it's fun for all levels at the same time - no easy task! Highly recommend if your in the mood to bust a move.

Booked a group beginners class as part of a hens celebration and Ferri was absolutely incredible at easing the group & getting us comfortable for the class. Her energy was amazing and she ensured we all had a great time and connected with each other. Would recommend for any group bookings as she did the best job at getting a group of strangers to dance with each other and have the best time doing so!

Amazing atmosphere and teachers, very welcoming and a good variety of classes. Changed to online classes during lockdowns too which was great. One of my favourite dance schools.
