Coriander Indian Restaurant

Food was absolutely amazing. Being from the UK, I do love a good Indian, but find it to be one of the only cuisines in Oz that is not so great.Well OMG, I have found a little gem. Every dish... and trust me I ate alot was just what I needed.I recommend to all those people out there that want an authentic great tasting, delicious dish/ dishes which all tastes different!!!Check IT out!!

A good Indian restaurant. Tried different starters and Nan from there. Served hot(not spicy) and it was delicious. Prices are reasonableGood customer service even though it took some time to serve due to rush.Will definitely visit again

Food very ordinarily school kids with no experience serving you and the big slap in the face was they changed me for the container to take my left overs home try the Indian plaza in Murwillumbah main street miles ahead on service price and Food miles ahead of this place

Hands down, the coriander Indian restaurant is the best of the best !! Nothing comes close to the flavours of their food. They provide great service and atmosphere. Some of the friendliest staff you will ever meet. Cannot praise this restaurant enough. Thank you for always providing top quality. Regards, Sharen

Love the food here, some dishes which I’ve never seen at other Indian restaurants. Delicious! Owners are nice people, Murwillumbah is one of my fave towns, definitely recommend it! A nice quiet spot across from Knox Park. Plenty of parking too. Must mention a young rude staff member, she Literally slammed our menus on the table, other staff are super friendly though. Not a nice gesture , particularly to patrons who travelled all the way from the GC just to have a feed here. Had to mention it, as it is unacceptable behaviour in hospitality! Overall, charming, simple and yummy!

Enjoyed my dinner recently, the wholemeal roti was delicious as well as the Dhal I ordered. However, the service (or lack there of) was shocking and a real disappointment. Arrive to the restaurant with 1 other table taken and the rest of tables empty but full of dirty plates and cups. Staff member chatting to the people at the 1 table, then as if I was invisible heads out back, completely ignoring me. No one in sight for good 10min and I was on verge of leaving (but was hunger holding me there). Another staff member eventually shows up, fiddles behind the counter ignoring me for another 5minutes, finally comes to the table and pretty much tries to dissuade me from eating there by saying how very busy they are (1 table other table with 3 people otherwise an empty restaurant ?!?- and they did have 2 take away order pick ups over my time there) and how the food will take a very long time. I manage to order by negotiating what would be the quickest to make and proceed to sit down at one of the dirty tables only to be told that the staff is too busy right now and won't be able to clear the table for a while so I go and put all the dirty things from 1 table to one of the other dirty tables. The table is still has curry stains from prior diners but I ignore it. The food doesn't end up taking too long at all. I eat, pay and leave with all the tables still full of dirty dishes all around me. I'm not quite sure how the staff don't realise that when they come out to take an order, or bring an order, or bring some water out to the table, it doesn't actually take much more extra time to take a heap of dirty dishes back to the kitchen on each of those trips instead of walking back empty handed. It also doesn't take any extra time to briefly acknowledge customers and offer some friendliness when they arrive before heading back to the kitchen. The experience was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I honestly can't see how a business like this could survive. Some serious lessons in customer service is very much needed.

Best Indian in town!I've tried all the other Indian places and they do not hold a candle to Coriander.I keep expecting that one day it won't taste as good but EVERY TIME I'm sitting there eating and I think 'OMG this is so good! Get in mah belly!'

Very happy with the service, atmosphere and delicious food served here. It was quite busy for both dine in and takeaway when we were there on a Sunday night. Small cosy restaurant with byo. Loved it.

Just had the loveliest meal for the second time in the last fortnight. The butter chicken is fantastic if you order it medium spice (mild is too sweet for my taste) and the lamb Rohan Josh is also great with the lamb perfectly tender and lots of sauce. There’s a new menu just come out and they have introduced Thali’s for dining in so going to try that next week. Really nice to have such a high quality Indian restaurant in town.
