Absolutely gross we are local and was going there regular for chips.Came in last few times and chips are been sitting there and cold the young guys don't care at all and is dirty grease taste of the food.I never complain but gross.wouldnt even give it a star

we always get the meal for 4 pack.myself and my boys got the meal only for the the kid with shoulder blonde hair who worked there walks out to the car and takes our large box and swaps it saying that's his. was not impressed was missing half the chips. which they other worker inside gave us a refund for the chips. then got home and the fish was so fishy and very dry. not impressed. 8pm 6/3/23

Third strike and we’re done with Coogee Plaza fish and chips. This was our favourite fish and chips until the new (current) owner has taken over. Batter thicker than the fish, fish is paper thin, chip over cooked to the point they’re just a shell. Got our order totally wrong last time. So, we’re out. Not sure it’s the kids fault who are working there they’ve probably received very little training. No owner info/contact anywhere which I’m not surprised given the way the place is run now.

I’m a long time supporter of this place, it was always tasty and well priced. Our order tonight was terrible- soggy chips, oil was dripping out of the fish and pineapple fritter. We got 3 serves for 2 adults and 1 child and it wasn’t enough to feed us. A year ago 2 serves of fish and chips was too much for 4 of us. I won’t be back.

Just don’t! Seventy dollars spent for 4 pieces of fish and enough chips for two people. Even paid for extra chips, but didn’t get them . I ring to speak to the manager and I am put onto a boy who said he was 16. Who has a 16 year old in charge on a Friday night? I’ll be going somewhere else in future.

Worst fish and chips ever.Fish was more like jerky, batter was thicker than the fish, the one piece that was edible had a hair in it.Place was run by kids, no hair nets, no hats, long hair not tied up, girl kept scratching her head but continued serving food, young lad using his T-shirt to open salt shaker.Shame been customers for 20 years and they used to be the best. Hope they can turn this around.

Like many other reviews here this used to be our favourite fish and chip shop, but we won't ever be returning.The fish used to be served in the most delicious crispy batter, but tonight it was soggy and just fell off the fish.We ordered a dinner for 4 and a dinner for 2. The whole order was literally stuffed into the one box.We ordered over the phone and was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes but took 45 mins.Honestly, don't bother wasting your money here.

Call up and order for pickup to save any wait times!Amazing staff (so friendly) and so much food!Ordered two fish and chips (snapper) and one potato scallop, received 4 good sized pieces of fish, a massive scallop and so many chips! So impressed!!Pic is taken after two fish and loads of chips have already been devoured haha.

Just collected my 3 pieces of snapper. Seriously they are 5-7cm in length!!! It’s like you have cut one piece of snapper in 3!!!!! $13.90 per piece. What a joke!! SO angry right now!
