Thank You Woodcut for making my 50th birthday with my family so memorable. So many of your staff came over to look after us. They were all super kind and helpful with suggestions. Your sirloin steak was the best I’ve ever had in my 50 years on earth. Your desserts were sublime and so beautiful to look at.

A lovely experience where the flavours of the food matched the luxuriousness of the location and view. They have some unique dishes such as black garlic bread and baked macaroni, but I also feel that their menu is quite limited. In saying that, I liked all the dishes I ordered so no complaints there! Service is a little slow but the views you get from the al fresco dining helps pass the time.

I’ve had such a great dinner @woodcutrestaurant that I had to share. The food was fabulous as usual but this time the experience was even better. Not only did Chef Daniel take the time to explain the Grill Works set up, from the US, the wood that is used from the Blue Mountains and the meat cooking process. The owner took the time to explain the beautiful vision and concept of the restaurant. The story behind the Mac & Cheese, the selection of the cast iron pans to go into the wood fire oven and the selection of the coriander seeds. This experience made this place outstanding for me. It was a last minute decision but worth it. Highly recommend this place in your next visit to Sydney.

A superb dining experience.I think our favourite parts of the meal were the entrées actually. There were so many delicious and harmonious flavours and textures. So beautifully presented. The raw seafood plate and shiitake mushrooms were particular highlights.I want to draw extra attention to the amazing wait staff here. We brought our admittedly very chill baby with us to dinner and they barely skipped a beat in making us feel right at home. As a breastfeeding mother, I felt very comfortable. They even came by to top up my water glass when I was feeding the baby. For me, this is the epitome of consideration to care for a breastfeeding mum at a classy restaurant the way they did. It dissipated any concerns I may have been harbouring about being out and about with a 3 month old.If you are thinking of bringing a baby, it did seem like sitting on the terrace was the best option. It was spacious for us to park our pram next to us and it was easy to get up and walk the baby around on foreshore/wharf nearby if she needed some space or got fussy. The changing facilities are great, too. It would be great if they had a nappy rash cream in a pump bottle like the soap they provide. That would be an excellent touch.I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and a bit of an elegant but wholesome vibe.

The smell of delicious tasting smoky flavours grab you upon entry. Great quality service and well designed open cooking areas are a visual bonus. Fantastic menu and wine list to ponder. Sit back and enjoy your spoiling feast.

Visited here twice. My first experience was not the best but the second visit completely changed my perception on this restaurant. They really took a good care of us in every way. I recommend sitting outside as the view is unreal (if the weather allows). Steak is a must order! Took my parents for a surprise Anniversary dinner and they said it would be one of the most memorable night.

It's a lovely setting and the service was high quality, if a bit stuffy, no one smiled or looked like they are friendly.The food wasn't really up to the price. If they switched to a high grade olive oil instead of the canola oil the food wouldn't leave you feeling like your mouth was coated in grease by the end of the meal. I felt sick after so much low quality oil.The flavour of some things was okay, other things decidedly average, some things downright dismal. I wouldn't bother with the steaks you can almost certainly do just as well at home. I enjoyed the spiced duck, although it was very sweet.The prices on the wine list are completely ridiculous, never seen anything so inflated in my life. They must think those are bottles of unicorn tears. Just go and drink somewhere else.On the whole can't recommend this place. It was okay once but I wouldn't go back. Much better places to eat in Sydney.

Woodcut was perfect through and through. From the food to the service to the ambience. We were seated on the terrace and had a front row view of the fireworks at 9pm. Highly recommend the Rump cap 9+, grilled raw beef and oysters. Burnt butter crisp pastry was also delicious! Definitely will consider having future celebrations here. Wide range of red wine, cocktails and mocktails.
