Palisades menu is disappointing. Heavily weighted to steaks with omly 1 pasta dish that was not available on that day.The grilled prawns and rosemary bread as entrees was great.As per the menu, I requested grilled fish for main course but was told the fish was already battered. This tells me the fish is packaged battered fish and not made fresh. I was offered a grilled barramundi fillet instead.It arrived minuscule and burned. One side was <15mm thick and the other <5mm. The whole fillet could be picked up and tapped on the table it was so hard. It was immediately removed by the wait staff who agreed it was unacceptable. So it should never have left the kitchen.Our waitress was lovely but considering there were 4 staff on the floor on a Monday night the service should have been better.This is the 2nd bad experience in the last 6 months. Last time I was served a scotch fillet steak that was less than 12mm thick and inedible with more than 70% of it being gristle.Once I have used my free nights accommodation (somewhere else) I won't be renewing my Accor card. It's just not worth it now that there is no seafood buffet available at Northbeach and Palisades is just not up to scratch.Very disappointing.

We came here the other week for a birthday lunch and to check out the new restaurant and honestly we were heavily disappointed.Firstly the staff, I get it they were probably new and were yet to know the ins and outs of the place and menu but their knowledge and attitude was poor.The food, it was below standard. My chips were under cooked and there was hardly any sauce on my burger and it tasted very plain.My partners meal was very poor as well.My parents who very rarely do reviews, actually gave them a bad review because of all of the above and their food was terrible as well.The atmosphere was still good, but that was something that will never change in that location.Another side note is that after our meal we moved onto the lobby bar and you can order the exact same food in there where firstly the staff look happier, are much more experienced and definitely were much more happier to help.Ill leave a separate review for them.Honestly won't be back

We dined here for lunch. Great location and very good service from the staff. Tasty dishes including a nicely cooked steak, fish and chips and lobster rolls. Price is reasonable but a bit on the expensive side.

Food was great!Unfortunately we were told by the concierge to book at 10am for buffet dining, group booking as the place “quiet down” around then. after our wedding the night before we thought a buffet would be great!They neglected to tell us that the restaurant closes at 10:30. This was misleading and disappointing, leading us to manically grab any food we could as guests hadn’t arrived yet.With the staff not willing to budge, we will NOT be recommending to friends, and are very disappointed in the service. My mother really wanted to put on a good meal for the bridal party and we have been rushed.Palisade’s should be ashamed to disappoint such a large booking.EDIT: This review was partly premature, however all of the above still happened. Later a decent discount was negotiated and apologies were made. Based on this, we WILL recommend to friends, but be noting to them to be sure about their bookings.

For an extra $10 we received 2 buffet breakfast with our stay. We arrived at what I assume is peak hour and queued for a while and waited for a seat to become available. I was fortunate that Lindsay was in the bar doing coffee and I was able toObtain a sneaky latte while I waited for the table. Amazing!The queue for hot food was long and I found the quickest way to get another coffee was to return to Lindsay in the bar. Again the coffee was amazing.Breakfast was average with a relatively small collection. The restaurant seemed very understaffed and our table was not cleared once throughout our 30-40 minute stay.The staff were lovely and when they had the chance to help they would. It just seemed as though they didn’t staff well enough for the almost capacity hotel.

We stayed in Novotel for four nights and had buffet breakfasts and one dinner here.It’s actually mixed thoughts with what we have experience.Customer service is not consistent. There were a couple of service people who are nice and very accommodating. One name we remembered is “Kirsten”. A very lovely and friendly one. Tops with her service.The food we had for dinner is overly tasty in an overwhelming way. The pork caramelised with that strong taste should be served with a good amount of rice and not a “pinch”. There was an aftertaste that which is not a good one. Nothing special.Breakfast is good. Not much but just right selection. Please make sure to do something with the toaster which is so slow that created much traffic and wait. Same with the coffee machine. There were two but only one working. I guess if the other one is working, it won’t make much drama in waiting.Also we noticed the lack of staff as well.Hoping there will be action of improvements to happen.⭐️

Visited for buffet breakfast, the day after Australia Day so it was packed they even opened up another room. Despite how busy they were, the food was replenished constantly and staff cleared tables frequently enough. note there was a constant line for the toaster. Standard hot food (think all types of eggs, bacon, mushroom and sausages) and pancakes with whipped cream and coulis was a hit for kids. My favourite was DIY fresh juice and the rice pudding. The pastry were very average

Had a lovely dinner ! Very satisfied with our starters and mains, perfect proportion and tasted amazing! We had a table of 11 people and waitresses Katie did an amazing job of serving us all. Everyone was commenting on how good Katie was of a waitress!

Second visit to the Palisade in 5 months ( lockdown restrictions having being lifted) ; although the Food and Service was good (the portion size of the Barramundi fish on my Signature Seafood Special was smaller than the last time I had this dish,,a bit skimpy ),,sadly the North Bar service was abit slap-dash ; a few tables were not cleared away of used glasses, the Bar counter had used glass water marks( the young Bar staff didn't seem too bothered in keeping the counter clean and dry).Slightly disappointed but for the delicious food....and clean, tidy restrooms.
