Cold front installed a ducted air system into my Banora Point property several years back. I noticed some movement in the roof and had a builder take a look.The air unit was placed directly on the roof beams and not tied back to the roof to reduce weight load.This has cost me considerable money to repair.I have also called twice for assistance with advantage system only to never receive a call back.Today I received an invoice via email for a different person.Poor installation and after sales service

This company, Cold Front Air Condition installed a Daikin ducted air conditioning system on our new two story house, it was commissioned by Porter Davis homes so unfortunately I had no say in the supplier they use.From the moment we moved into our house, the unit didn’t work. It turned on and 10 minutes later, a faultcame up and it has been like that ever since. It is coming now to two weeks and when I asked Cold Front to replace the entire unit, their answer was that they only replace parts, which is two to three weeks away.My unit didn’t break, it was faulty from factory and as a consumer, and under the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission), I have the right to ask for a replacement if the problem with the product I purchased is major. The tech who tried to fix it said it was, so I asked Cold Front to replace it, and they gave me their scripted speech and said that all they could do, is to wait for the parts to arrive and try to fix it.Although the ground team who came to my house to service the unit was very friendly and looked like they tried hard to fix it, their supervisor, Brad, was very sarcastic when I asked if they could provide an interim solution whilst I waited for the part to arrive - his answer was to “wear jackets and beanies”.It’s only the start of June and the weather is freezing.Please do not deal with this company, and certainly don’t use Daikin.

The technicians fitted in the service at short notice for my elderly parents. They worked in fading light to repair the A/C system. They were courteous and enthusiastic about the job, and took the time to explain what was going on and to make sure the system was working properly before they left. It was also great value for the service provided.

Both tradies were clean, took off boots inside, efficient, friendly, good impression and representation of ,your company. Thanks Dr R.von Winterberg

Representatives of Cold Front Air Conditioning attended our property on three occasions to service and repair our air conditioning system (ducted). On all occasions, the tradesmen were punctual, friendly, professional and completed the required tasks to a high standard. We were very pleased and do not hesitate in recommending the services of this company to others.

Cold Front as a company has been relatively great. They really work with you on availability. We also have dealt with Cold Front more than once and have had both bad and good experiences. This review is on our most recent visit from their technician (20/02/2023), looking at a leak and completing a service on a ducted-air.The technician who came was a little argumentative and just didn't want to listen to the problem at hand. He was quite stand- offish and very unfriendly. It honestly felt it was a huge inconvenience being at our house doing the jobs. We have had this technician before and it was exactly the same.What has happened to being nice and just general customer service? It feels because of the recent demand in trades and services, workers don't feel like they have to be kind. All in all, they got our money for appalling service. Funny thing is, he said bye" abruptly and I had to stop him asking if he would like me to pay??? Amazed my husband and I were

Maybe good at installing or on price as in the other reviews - but when looking for warranty on a Daikin they installed that was rusting after 2 years, told me that it sounds normal. I was then told that they are just the installer and provide no after sale service.BE CAREFUL IF YOU WANT SERVICE AFTER PAYMENT - AS THEY ARE ONLY THE INSTALLERS OF DAIKIN" (the words of their phone representative)."

Cold Front Air Conditioning attended our home for an annual service and warranty inspection. The service technician was one of the most courteous and technically savvy that we have ever met. He seemed to know his skill and his client interaction manner was superb. Looking forward to continued collaboration with this firm.

From my initial contact with Darrell until completion of the job , could not be happier with the service received. Brock and Hero were excellent installers and made sure everything was perfect and cleaned before they left.Would highly recommend Cold Front Air Conditioning.

Be careful using this company, they expected you to know and understand the industry, I called and booked a warranty call out after them coming on site and finding the issue I got a call out fee. There had been no mention just an invoice sent.We have had nothing but issues with the ducted air conditioner that was installed when we built the house, unfortunately the builder made the choice for the installer. 2 months after getting the keys to the house and the weather was getting warmer we went to use the air conditioner and found it didn't cool, error code said low gas and this was fixed under warranty then we went to use the heater and the pcb that controls the switching from cool to heat has failed but this has fallen out of warranty. This is apparently a known issue with daikin ducted air conditioner as rodents or gecko can run across the board and pee on it causing it to short out.Got a quote that said supply and replace with a price, called to find out a bit more information like Labor time and part cost. Was told they won't provide that by the supervisor Brad as I would get a mate to do the replacement. But I just wanted to understand the high cost.The supervisor is really condescending and borderline rude to customers asking questions when they don't know about air conditioner and repairs. Sorry we don't all know and work in the industry
