I've had the worst experience with Andrwq. He did a poor job, damaged my property, and charged me more than was discussed.My AC installation was booked Monday 28th, Andrew arrived and assessed my property and suggested an installation through my kitchen cupboards. My request was for the simplest installation and I trusted he knew what was best. No additional cost was discussed beyond the quoted price. He did mention he thought I'd need a bigger aircon unit but I had already purchased mine and told him I wasn't able to afford an upgrade even if I wanted one.Andrew started the job around 9am and did not leave my property until 9.30pm.Throughout this time I was working from home in my office and as the day went on I was concerned about his progress. At around 5pm he said he had to leave to get a part and did not return until well over an hour later. I asked about progress at this point and he said he was about halfway done. Because of the time I asked if he needed to reschedule and he said he wouldn't be much longer. I trusted his judgement and just waited in my office for him to finish.As a couple more hours passed I began to feel anxious and asked Andrew for an estimated completion time. He was unable to tell me so.At around 8pm Andrew asked me if he could use a hammer drill. As it was after hours in my building I said no, it would disturb my neighbours.It was very late and I felt uncomfortable with the situation and was in contact with family who were going to come over and assist me in removing Andrew, had he not finished by 9.30pm.Luckily he did finish as I was getting ready to talk to him and rushed him out the apartment, I didn't even care at that point that there was mess left in the kitchen.Although, in saying that Andrew had finished the job, there was still work left uncompleted.The installation work done by Andrew is as pictured and not up to professional standards. There is messy sealant, damage to my wall and bench top, uneven and unsealed cuts made to my pantry shelves that leave a large gap, and unfixed piping.When leaving Andrew also mentioned he thought my dad could drill in the anchoring for the outdoor pipe as he was unable to finish.I was frustrated with the situation and the standard of work but willing to pay the agreed on cost and move on as I believed him to be new to the industry and unexperienced.However, the invoice was sent 30 November 2022 and it included and additional cost not discussed.Through several emails I have tried to rectify the situation but have had no luck.I sent Andrew images of the messy work completed and damage. His solution is that he would come back and let me know how much it'd cost to fix his mistakes. I would never let this man back into my home so I'd rather cop the additional cost, fix his work myself and warn others not to hire this guy.The worst experience I've had with a tradie to date.
