Surprising find....old fashioned pub with excellent food and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back again on a Sunday to check out the live music.

Stopped by here on a recent stay at Venus Bay and glad that we did.Luckily we arrived just before the kitchen closed and ordered the Starters of Vegetable Spring Rolls (special) and the KFC - Kentucky Fried Cauliflower plus the main of Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas to share.The portions for the starters in particular, were huge and the spring rolls and KFC were really delicious. The fish was not as tasty as I am used to but all up enjoyed the food here thoroughly.The restaurant is really roomy and clearly can cater for large families to dine together.The staff here are friendly and willing to go the extra mile (even gave us a takeaway container when we realised we had over ordered on the starters!).Would recommend this place for sure!

Great family pub! Meals with sweet potato chips we're delicious. Lots of space for kids to run around. Love to see some of the old character preserved as well.

We are on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. The food (I had a very agreeable Porterhouse) was very good. The service was no nonsense (and nice and quick). The place can hold more than it looks from the outside. The family gave it the thumbs up, (wife and 2 fussy teenaged daughters)

Food was amazing - burger was huge and so was the serving of chilli con carne. It was a bit of a wait but worth it, would definitely recommend booking too. Staff were very friendly too.

Great spot for lunch by the river with live musicHad lamb for lunch with salad it was the best pub meal I've had in ages service was great and so was the atmosphere. They also let us stay out the back in our van for the night

Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent food menu selection for dining inside or out. Very well cooked meals. Great selection of drinks on tap & from the shelf. Clean & safe environment. Lots of parking outside. Highly recommend a visit if in the area or for a nice drive from towns around the region.

Riverview Hotel
Excellent steak and brilliant Parma all in a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. I was surprised the steak came with a baked potato but it was a tasty surprise.
