Positives: Great tasting banquet options and the serving sizes are generous.Negatives: table and chairs a little basic and uncomfortable. Staff not observant to the little things such as bringing a water refill. They need to improve their level of service.

Change of menu and not announced, although the booking was done on the old menu one month ago!Dishes were small and extremely sweet, some of the GF options they have a gluten component which wasn't part of the previous menu. Pork ribs are a desert, not a main. The duck was done too rare (almost raw). Beef was sweet but the singapore noodles are actually good. Staff not knowing the menu. Not coming back again!

Visiting Orange for the first time in a year, friends recommended trying Sweet Sour Salt. The food, service and ambience was absolutely sensational.We started with prawn wontons and salt & pepper squid, followed by Malaysian chicken curry, braised black bean beef and a fish dish. Food was so fresh and tasty, and was one of the best meals I’ve had in years.Special thank you to the matre de who I think was Brett, for his attention to detail, recommendations and excellent service. Will be heading back to sweet, sour, salt soon.

From my many experiences of visiting SSS, this time with visitors from Sydney, as always the food was outstanding and so was the service. We were warmly greeted by Charlie at the front door who showed us to our seats, explained the menu options and provided waters and drink orders which were promptly delivered. We then were served by Brett who helped us choose a beautiful selection of entrees and mains to perfectly cater for our guests tastes. The wontons were divine and the salt and pepper squid with that amazing dipping sauce were perfect. Followed this up with a stunning blackened trout, amazing Malaysian chicken curry, rice, greens and a spicy cucumber salad.Our guests from Sydney were overwhelmed at such quality food being provided in a regional area comparing it to their best experiences in Sydney, if not better.Great value for money given the quality of the food and service and a great atmosphere with perfect mood lighting and a fabulous playlist which rounded out a beautiful evening.We’ll be back and looking forward to trying out a Wednesday BYO evening with the family as well.

This was a great little spot for some pan Asian fare. Friendly and helpful staff, funky interior and reasonable prices. They have some lovely fresh cocktails too and nice dessert! I’d go back again.

Sweet...yes,Sour...yes,Salt...whoa way too much salt, heart attack inducing!!! We started with Son in law eggs, only complaint here was amount on the plate...just two small eggs with some shallots and dressing for $18. Mains: chilli basil pork belly $34 good chilli punch but way too salty & red duck curry $32 again too salty but nice flavour but missing the lychees...& garlic egg fried rice just what you expect from the name. Wine mark up 500% a bit ripe I feel! All in I feel this place is way overpriced. On the plus side waitstaff were friendly, efficient but not intrusive, so a big tick for them.

As a family of 7, we hadn’t booked on a Saturday night. We were shown to a spacious table in the private room. We were spoiled with speedy and friendly service and the food was exquisite.

No difficulties booking, and easy parking over the road (for 1730 weeknight meal). Funky decor, swift service. Uncomplicated menu, done really well. Red beef curry magnificent, chilli jam chicken really nice. A little cold inside. Table or QR code ordering.

Sweet Sour Salt
Only banquet menu available. I had the menu 2. The food was good. The fish main, had too much sauce and not much fish. The fish was good but the flavor of the sauce dominated over the fish, which needed a lighter flavor.The service started out really well, but drifted off as the staff were concentrating on the table resets and not the last few customers. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks.I expected better service for the price we were paying.
