Had Shiseido hair straightening. Max and his team were great - quick and efficient. Great results. Very happy. Will definitely go back for regrowth.

They booked my appointment for the next Saturday instead of the coming one, luckily, their 10 o'clock appointment for this Saturday called and cancelled. I had a permanent hair straightening retouch and my hair feels smooth and sleek. Unfortunately, the frizz underneath is very rough, dry and damaged. I will have to cut it off, at least it's underneath so it can't be seen. I would've been definitely be coming back if not for this as they are reasonably priced, but I may reconsider

I've had my hair chemically straightened using the Sheisedo technology and have been incredibly happy! My hair used to be frizzy and dull and now it feels soft and silky.I go to Max for blow waves and haircuts. HighlyRecommended! The attention to detail, precision and skill is one of a kind.

Had the permenant straightening done and style cut at a discounted rate via groupon. Hair is smoother but definitely not straight one week after the treatment. Was advised had to cut hair to short length (3+ inches lost) to prevent damage with the straightening.This is my third time permenantly straightening my hair around Melbourne - definitely the least impressive result.Reasonably friendly staff, good English, refreshments offered throughout day.

A Korean hair salon offering quality services at reasonable price. The owner here is a lovely guy. Give CREAR by max a visit next time you neee to get your hair done.

I had the Shiseido straightening done 6 months ago plus an excellent hair cut. The straightening has been fantastic and I am returning to the salon next week to have the regrowth straightened and also have a fresh hair cut. Cannot recommend this salon highly enough.

Terrible. I think Max and the female hairdresser care and know what they're doing but the other male hairdresser is arrogant and rushes his work. He ruined my hair and managed to squeeze in a comment/complaint that my hair is a lot of hard work how do you do it?" Seriously??!I've been to a salon in the city for shisedo hair straightening for over a year and it's been perfect every time but hard to get into the city with kids. Thought I'd try somewhere closer to home. Big mistake. My hair is burnt and matted. Have had to cut it off and am devastated. Thankfully my old salon have tried their best to help me but I obviously have a long road ahead.Feel terrible for Max the owner as he genuinely is trying to please his customers

Always pleased with the service and expertise of the staff at Crear by Max, that is why I always come back here to get my hair done. Very professional, highly experienced people. My hair dresser today was really kind and very experienced who knows what she’s doing. Also great customer service.

I used to get my hair permanently straightened when I was living in Korea, and since then I have never been able to find a suitable alternative outside of Korea. I tried two different Melbourne salons in the CBD, and every time I was horribly disappointed, either my hair was burned and had to be cut off, or it was not actually straight. Crear by Max changed everything! I got a Groupon and figured I would give it a try. The salon is beautiful and relaxing, the staff is so lovely, and the result was as good as it was in Korea, or even better. Three months later, my hair is perfect, and it takes me two seconds to get ready for work in the morning. I would have happily paid full price. Stop searching, get your straightening done here!
