I've been going to Rustics for years, and always have a great experience! Shout out to Mel for her excellent service.

The Boss goes here and absolutely swears by it. She trusts her hairdresser and I reckon he does a pretty good job. I came along for the ride and picked up a nice Turkish takeaway from just around the corner.

I've had a very terrible experience today, where the hair dress ’Amber’ didn't quite understand how short to cut my hair. I know I have a stutter which can be hard for some people to understand. However, I did clearly demonstrate to her how short to cut my hair. I specified a trim - shoulder length and received a bob. I complained over the phone to her and the business partner Richie. I was given no refund, no apology. That's the customer service you get after 7 years. I'm very upset and disheartend to get this response. Especially after four months growing my hair.On top of that you would think essential business like hairdressers would welcome returning customers to help grow their business after the lock down and the Covid19 restrictions.#Rustics have lost a customer today, if this is customer satisfaction, after the covid19 lockdown... I would like to see what it will be like when things are back to normal! Disgusted and appalled!

Ive been having my hair cut by Jacinta for a number of years. Because i have thick curly hair I have it cut infrequently. ..just leave it natural. Jacinta always does a great job. She does a terrific cut of my sister's very short thick hair as well. Im surprised by the earlier comment that the client felt pressured to attend more etc. I only go every 3 months and I have never been pressured to attend more or buy products. Love Rustics.

The team at Rustics are amazing! They are reasonably priced and the service is always fantastic. I've been coming here religiously for a year and a half now and am always more than satisfied with my hair - Mel is fantastic! Definitely should visit if you're looking for a reliable hairdressers.

They mainly only handle regular clients but boy do they do a great job! Most amazing and genuine salon in canberra

Amber from Rustic gave a great haircut, the staff were very friendly and professional, and the salon is in beautiful Yarralumla, highly recommended!

The service I received from the ladies who did my colour and style was great, and it was pretty reasonably priced, however every time I’ve been to Rustics the owner has intruded into the session and been very pushy - pushing products, or telling me I need to come in more frequently because “my ends are ratty”. I’m a student and have told them I only get my hair cut when I can afford it and still I’m always made to feel guilty when I go there, or have to say “sorry I can’t afford that” when they try to include a product when I’m paying my bill. The owner’s pushiness and elitist attitude really detracts from what the other staff are doing so well.
