Good taste and variety of desserts. Not too sweet, well balanced. Reasonable price and portion. Nice range of bubble tea too. Pretty quick served. Must try the signature range.

Seems like the owner is pretty stingy.. No aircon on a hot summer day, kept the doors open. So hot and humid inside. Drinks were very sweet, apparently you can’t choose the level of sugar and ice here according to the staff.

Quick and especially refreshing on a hot day. We got the Blackball signature grass jelly shaved ice ($9.5).Wasn’t overly sweet, pearls were soft and chewy. The taro and sweet potato ‘balls’ were a little tough to chew.

The one time Meet fresh is closed and you try this place.Drinks are pretty average , it’s like milk and some toppings. Definitely nothing like what’s been advertised. It’s a pass from me guys.

A busy dessert spot in Eastwood! Food came out pretty quickly and was so nostalgic, a pretty good representation of the Tawainese snacks. The grass jelly was smooth and tender and everything was well balanced and not too sweet. Great for a post dinner dessert!

So many delicious Taiwanese dessert options here! Highly recommend their unique and instafamous milk tea or soymilk hotpot. The shaved ice and tofu pudding desserts are also good. There is not that much seating inside though so you may have to takeaway.

Service: 4.5/5I've visited many times, and the staff have only ever seemed to be polite, nice and accommodating (amazing by Chinese standards). Special shout-out to one of the gentlemen who might be Taiwanese, whose sincere and friendly manner I absolutely adore!Matcha Snow Ice & Milk Tea Snow Ice: 4/5- for those that know matcha, the first one definitely tastes Chinese rather than Japanese (and a little artificial), but was still decently tasty especially alongside the well-cooked and sweet red bean- snow ice in both desserts was fluffy and pleasant to eat, the toppings of good proportion and qualityWintermelon Shaved Ice with 4 Toppings: 4.5/5- shaved ice flavour perfectly sweet and balanced, and refreshing!Cranberry Crushed Ice: 4/5- tanginess of cranberry worked surprisingly well; harmonised with general sweetness and creaminess of condensed milk. Overall, dessert was refreshing and thankfully not too sweet- same flavourful and quality red bean as above. Pearls also bouncy and perfect in texture (not too hard!)- main criticism was the sheer amount of plain ice. I respect giving us a big portion, but there was way too little flavouring for all of it -- would have honestly preferred half the size instead, as that would've been enoughMango Pineapple Green Tea: 4~4.5/5- when made well and balanced, so refreshingly delicious. Fruity sweetness and tang complement the slight dryness of the tea so wellBlack Sesame Soy Milk: 2.5/5- not particularly tasty or good quality (it tasted like something I could have thrown together from ingredients I bought myself), and was so overpriced. Tasted like simple sesame powder mixed in soy milk; that's it!Soybean Delight B (warm): 3/5- maybe Blackball is just bad at soy milk? It was thin and unsatisfying again, and probably better/healthier without the sugar, but just ended up quite tasteless instead. Taro and sweet potato balls were larger than expected (there were 3 each), and surprisingly distinguishable in flavour which was impressive (the latter especially sweet and tasty), and were a little chewy in texture -- not bad. The large mass of grass jelly in the middle was wobbly like I've never seen (SUCH A TREAT TO THE EYES) and so soft, but I think I would've found it more satisfying to eat if it was slightly firmer- I've been meaning to try Blackball's warm desserts, but so far this isn't a great first impression. I don't think I'd get this item againBlack Sesame Soup Tofu Pudding: 3.5/5- for the main focus of the dessert, the tofu pudding was barely a cup, maybe only 2/3rds of one in size? It was jarringly cold too, in what was supposed to be a warm dessert, and was almost entirely covered by the black sesame soup (at least said soup was nice enough though). I can see why they added pearls to the dish; it would've been woefully simplistic and lacking otherwise. With the pearls, there was additional dimension simply due to the extra texture, but that was all. A topping with flavour would've added more, like red bean, or a jelly. Conclusion: Blackball's cold desserts are decent and will satisfy your Taiwanese and Chinese dessert needs, but I wouldn't recommend their warm ones; they definitely seem to be a tier under in quality.

Had 3 of the desserts. Mango was the best. They looked great and tasted ok. But nothing really special. One dessert had quite a lot of roughly shaved ice. Service was efficient.I’ll probably go again and try some of the other items.
