The River Cafe
Where do I start, firstly checked the cafe was dog friendly, secondly the staff were so helpful in the ordering of ours meals and coffee. Friendly smiling faces in a fantastic location with great atmosphere. The steak sandwich with the lot was to die for, the best I have had in years, and my wife’s roast pork and gravy roll was, as she quoted, Yummo. Great coffee. Great location and Great food. We shall return. PS the cakes are all yummy to.

Nice relaxed cafe. Was busy but not overly, and food came out quickly which is awesome. Worth a visit if in the area or looking for somewhere bit quieter than the tourist areas. Eat lunch overlooking the river. I had a steak sandwich which was really nicely done. Overall was a good experience

We were a table of five and all our meals were excellent. We ordered the steak sandwich with the lot, salt n pepper squid and salad, flathead tails and chips, seafood basket and salad to share plus coffees. Following that we had scrumptious ice creams. Highly recommend! Beautiful river views as well. Attentive service from Wendy didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks for a wonderful lunch.

Was looking for ice cream for my mum and she asked for a sample to make sure she got the right flavor. The lady replied really rude which was not necessary. We can understand if a sample is not available.We then took our time to look at the different flavors, when the lady started cutting her fingernails right there, where all the food is served. That was very disgusting and incredible! I did ask her if she thought that was the appropriate place to do that and she replied yes.We are definitely not going back there as that was very unpleasant and unhealthy thing to see.Incredible how a small business lose customers in this economy!

Nice dog-friendly cafe - basic cage menu but all good - plus they sell ice-cream. Comfortable seating. The tables could do with a good clean though as they were quite sticky.

Great little Cafe & staff are very pleasant. They value all customers that come to the cafe. Lots of seating & can also sit by the River.Coffee is great.

A great cafe that sits right in the middle of this amazing little town. I came to the cafe because of a river cruise that comes right there from Batemans bay. The ice cream that they serve is not only delicious but they also give amazing serving size for the price. This little cafe is also right on the river side gong you a great opportunity to eat ice cream while looking at an amazing view. The staff are very kind and we’re very kind about the very large void that we created with our very big group. This is such an great place to go to as a family or a small group. A must see if going to Batemans bay or this beautiful little town.

The BEST beef true Aussie style hamburger I've had in living memory. The fish n chips were awesome. Fridge drinks icy cold on a 35 degree day.Friendly staff. Super clean...
