The giant inflatable crab just really drew me to check this place out! My husband and I really just wanted lobster and after coming from bribie (where we couldn't find any) lucky they had some! It was surprisingly really yummy and from WA. Haven't tried the fish and chips here but a bit nervous after reading the reviews.

Not bad. Prawns decent. Portion sizes of grilled fish only 120g but the lovely woman serving us gave us another piece. The barramundi not bad. Recommend the Cajun seasoning.

Sadly, I need to complain about our recent oyster purchase. 12 St Helen’s Bay oysters @$28 and couldn’t eat them. They didn’t smell that good, but we had never had a previous negative experience so I popped one in my mouth and immediately spat it out YUCK absolutely putrid!!!The fish we purchased was beautiful.I had sent a complaint via messenger but have not received a reply, as I’d like my money back or replaced with fresh oysters.I’m hoping this review will get notice, otherwise we won’t be going back at will head to Milton fish shop instead.

Visited here to have lunch with some family, I personally didn't eat any fish but I had the bacon and egg burger which was pretty tasty, and my dad said that his meal was the best battered burramundi that he'd had in a while and the chips were nicely salted. But the most important thing was being served by a young man who was sweet and patient with our questions and queries as we never ate here before and also brought our food out to us when we sat outside, would eat here again if in the area!

One the the few best places in town. Fresh seafood taste like it just out of the sea. Super friendly and quick service. Much more options compare with other fish&chips out there. I'm a very detailed person, the shop is very clean, not many seafood shop can get that clean out there. This is a indefinite 5 Stars Business. Love to support my local business!

I ordered fish and chips from this shop through UberEats yesterday. I made mistake confusing this shop and The Fishery at nearby Milton where we had nice fish and chips in the past. The quality of fish from Toowong Fish Market was fairly shocking. The fish was dry and the crumbs was damp, which was supposed to be the other way around. These people was also very indifferent towards their food. Why lemon was mixed with coleslaw, which ruin the taste. The crumb was also not properly done. We had better experience with Woolworths frozen fish fillets. My advice for others is to go The Fishery in nearby Milton instead.

Hidden gem in town that you don’t wanna miss out! Drove all the way from Carindale to here, totally worth it. Oysters are fresh, mud crabs are meaty, meals are tasty. Friendly owner and staff too. My go to seafood shop hands down. Highly recommend!

The day manager probably knows his stuff. The helpers so be it, are probably still learning.I wanted giant sashimi surf clam, but they don't always thaw them and he was nice enough to say not sashimi level..... bah!Prices a bit over the top.Telling me the most expensive prawn is the best because it's freshest is BS. I paid and tried 2 of each. The medium priced tiger was the winner.Full robust umami sweetness.Do yourself a favour and try one of each first. Avoid disappointment. Unfortunately no freebie tests for even 1 at their prices, so I paid and got 2 of each, then bought none. The other prawns were over cooked, over salted, which they don't do in store. Forgiven.I went for the Coffin Bay oysters. And dang, 8/12 were good and 2/8 were great. 4 were.... meh.I wanted to eat raw stuff.Their only addition to the usual sashimi was Tai, sea bream or snapper probably, call it whatever you want.Their freezer selection is way more interesting. I know many restaurants both here and Japan which will thaw frozen and serve it as fresh..... Outrageous!Eat like Old Boy!Cheers,Lek

Reading some of the reviews amazes me, honestly some wingers are never happy. I have been buying fish and shellfish from them for years including Christmas and Easter and have never been disappointed with my order, lovely and fresh and always correct. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable. When I was working I used to drop in for a dozen oysters at lunch as a treat and they were heaven! As everyone knows you have to eat seafood soon after purchasing it so it is not the suppliers fault if you wait days. Highly recommended.
