One of Sydney Trains newest and most modern stations on the Chatswood to Epping line which go into the city.

Escalators out of order with enough frequency that it is an issue. Very stupid and illogical choices of which passengers to close the escalators to, resulting in dangerous and overcrowded lifts full of people arriving during afternoon peak hour, while a minuscule percentage of departing passengers have full access to working escalators. Moronic decisions being made at this station.

All the morning train gates are packed with two trains arriving at once, there is plenty of room, just open up the gates a bit wider so there is more than 2 in, 3 out for peak hour. Chatswood did this!

A great train station with modern technology such as a hearing loop, staff information point, emergency help point, new escalators, clean toilets and platforms without a gap for people with prams or wheelchairs. The metro service is extremely quick with a metro coming every 5 minutes at peak hours except for during lockdown due to a reduced timetable. I would definitely rate it a 5 stars.

The platforms are spacious and amenities easy to use. The site holds sufficient space for future extension.However, it was surprising to see the main entrance without stairways. Designer should has noted that long one-way escalator rides pose more safety concerns, and its capacity unable to handle large volume of people during peak hours. Taking into account that escalators are prone to malfunctioning, it would be sensible to install stairways.

If traveling on the escalators it's like taking a slow ride to hell especially during peak crowds times. Bland decor, poor signage, and a strange accented lady voice with platform announcements.. other than that all good.
