The Golden Pig Restaurant & Cooking School
My wife and I partook in a Greek Themed Cooking Class last weekend. This was our second course at The Golden Pig, our first was a Thai themed course.The course had many varying types of people which meant varying cooking abilities. You break up into smaller groups and are given specific tasks to do individually to bring together the menu as a whole. Everybody is treated equally and given every chance to be included. The pace of the day is very relaxed and not hectic so you have lots of opportunities to watch what the other groups are doing.We had 2 meal sittings, one when we finished the 2 entrees and another once the main was completed. Our desert, Baclava, was taken home in a doggy bag by most as the first 2 courses were more than enough food. A sneaky vino or beer is served too.We will be looking at what else they have to offer as not only is it a great way to learn new styles and techniques but also to meet some like minded, food lovers to share a meal with.

The Italian cooking class was relaxed and Katrina kept us all engaged - a great shared experience. Sitting down and sharing the delicious food with a glass of wine was a wonderful ending to a fun day. I loved the range of food we cooked and learnt many cooking tips along the way.

A very good restaurant. Been here a couple of times now and the food is great. Scallops are my favourite but a good choice across the menu. We always end up ordering too much. Will be back again.

The Golden Pig Restaurant & Cooking School
Great experience. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and moody. It did get a bit noisy and bustling but showed that everyone in the restaurant was having a great time. We ordered the dinner banquet for three and every dish that came out was amazingly tasty, from the miso butter scallops, the baked barramundi, the pork pastries and to the miso caramel panna cotta. All so delicious. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience. Highly recommend the Bao & Dumpling class. Katarina is a very knowledgeable, helpful & friendly chef. We’ll be back!

We had the $90 banquet which was delicious. The entrees were so good! we would eat a bowl of the miso scallops again.Service staff were friendly but not as knowledgable on the drinks menu. We were also presented with a duck curry instead of beef cheeks with no mention of why till we asked. They said they ran out of beef cheeks and replaced it with the duck curry, which was fine but we would have liked knowing it beforehand.It was a spacious layout - We were sat in the corner closest to the kitchen & it was really loud. We could hear all the cutlery being moved around multiple times - wasn’t a pleasant sound.Overall great food & would recommend.

It was one of the best dining experiences I've had, not just in Brisbane, but globally!We did the $90pp banquet menu.The food was amazing!!! Every single dish was amazing. We were blown away. The food volume was more than enough!Good wine list with stargazer by the glass.Be sure to book, this place is popular!Dress code is tidy casual.This is a restaurant I'll return to!
