The Nikki Visaj Movement

The Nikki Visaj Movement has worked with Ivanhoe Grammar School for a number of years, providing our students with enjoyable in experiences in Dance, Fitness and Wellness. Her team of teachers are always approchable, flexible and enthusiastic. Nikki and her admin team are easy to work with and have been able to accomadate to all the of our curriculum needs! We look forward to continue this great partnership that we have with Nikki and her team!

Nikki and her team have visited our school for many years (pre, during and post pandemic) and the boys absolutely love their experiences each and every time. Whether the visits are in person or online, the staff are always full of energy and enthusiasm and the atmosphere is always positive. Recently, we were fortunate to have Dagogo visit our Year 2 cohort during their Year 2 Sleepover at school. Dagogo is definitely a favourite at our school and within an hour of him visiting, the Year 2 boys had put together a super impressive hip hop dance routine. Every student, regardless of their dance ability, got involved and moved with confidence. It was a credit to Dagogo's ability to make every child feel comfortable and willing to step out of their comfort zone. He was full of praise and encouragement for each and every student. I have no doubt we will continue to welcome Nikki and her team back to our school in the future.

We have now used The Nikki Visaj Movement for dance over the last 3 years and it has been nothing but amazing. The dance teachers are awesome, so motivating and encouraging. Our students are so pumped for their classes while covering all the required curriculum. It has been a pleasure to work with Nikki and her crew at The Nikki Visaj Movement. Currently, her crew of instructors are delivering an engaging and enjoyable dance unit for our Year 8 students. The booking process has been smooth, and the instructors come with energy and knowledge. The variety in the themes of dance sessions on offer make things appealing for all.

Sermsah (Suri) ran some dance and culture workshops at Scotch College for boys in years 7-10 during our Indigenous Culture Festival this year. With great warmth, insight, deep knowledge of Indigenous culture and dance and generosity, he delivered an experience unlike any our students have previously experienced. Many found it profound, and reflected on it with classmates, and their families. This is an exceptionally worthwhile workshop to run in any school. We felt priveleged to have Sermsah connect and share with us at Scotch.

We participated in a Hip-hop event at Silverton Primary. The event included many different dance moves all relating to the Indigenous culture. The dance instructor took around 50 students and most of them enjoyed this. He explained every dance move thoroughly so we would remember everything. It was wonderful that he adapted the moves to make them good for all the levels that people can dance. He was amazing at acknowledging the past and how all the moves meant something superb. The teacher was super caring and answered any questions with kindness. After all, the dances were challenging yet super fun!Grade 5/6 Students Silverton Primary School

Lowther Hall students enjoyed the fabulous and engaging specialised dance programs provided by Nikki and her team at The Nikki Visaj Movement. The instructors were clearly experienced and highly motivated, providing our students with new moves and education to support their experience in our alternate sports program. Go Team!

My school has been using the Nikki Visaj Movement for a couple of years now and the girls love it. The energy of the staff is inspiring and the students feel invigorated and energised when they have finished their session. As soon as we are able, we will be putting the NVMovement back on the timetable.

We have been using the “DanceMob” program for the last 3 years for school incursions and we can’t be happier. Nikki and her team are professional, engaging, energetic, and are flexible and adaptable with each workshop. The recent addition of the DigitalMob for remote learning has also provided another avenue for our students to remain engaged and active whilst at home. We have no hesitation recommending this company for school incursions.

Thankyou to Nikki Visaj and all of the instructors at the Nikki Visaj Movement for keeping the students at Mckinnon Secondary College active and enjoying dance through their virtual programme. In only 1 week 254 students have joined in with the online sessions and can't wait for the new releases.
