Overall decent service. The food is genuinly contemporary Parisian patisserie-esque. Their bread is great as are their croissants etc. Losing one mark as the Richmond store is much more pleasant atmosphere.

Been here twice, both times everything was cold and bordering on stale. You can head around the corner to Woodfrog or Provencal and taste much better without the layers of marketing.

Coffee is quite nice(even the art is super funny like a scared heart lol ). I would like to give 3.5 stars, croissant is ok not really buttery probably someone well really like it.just not my preference.

Visited this place today and had wonderful service (I have a newborn so staff offered to help me with the pram). Had a excellent coffee, pastry and baguette. Unlike some of the other establishments nearby the pastry and baguette was fresh. Will be going back again soon.

Gotran Cherrier is a new French pastry cafe along Glenferrie road. Chic, modern, serving heaps of delicious looking croissant and pastries. While the prices are quite standard - about $4.50 per croissant, I get mine in the afternoons, which might account the staleness and that the croissant was a little tough. Might try again in the morning when they are fresh.That said, the croissants do look really good.

We visited on an extremely hot day. The man that served us (I didn’t catch his name) was so lovely, offering us discounted bread and extra pastries. I’ve been there at other times and the coffee is always excellent and the food is delicious! Definitely recommend.

Food and coffee is decent, so perhaps it would be a good place to get takeaway. Am marking this place down because the service and dining space could be a lot better.I wouldn't call the servers rude, but they are definitely not the most inviting hosts. Relative to other cafes, they are very much lacking in this respect.As for the dining space, the table we were on was pretty wobbly. These things are easy to overlook as an owner/manager of the place and admittedly we didn't bring it to their attention - but we probably would have if the servers were more friendly.

Looking forward to go there as we have been to their older shop before. But there was a handful of patisseries and the staffs were not friendly and polite. It seemed like we have disturbed them during their working hours. We ordered two cakes, one was overly sweet, coffee cups were tiny as considering the price. Very disappointing experience, we won't go back.

Good coffees with a good selection of pastries. Almond crossaint was a delight, chocolate crossaint also solid. Service reserved & helpful. Really like the cosy bright nook in the wall atmosphere out back.
