Went to the Marina for sunset drinks and then picked up some takeaway. The portion size was good and the food fresh and tasty.Very happy to find some gluten free options without any fuss.I had the lamb, hubby had the beef brisket.The staff were very friendly.

Had the beef brisket tonight. So much flavour in the brisket (tender too), perfectly cooked potatoes, beautiful slaw and savoury rice. Loved it all!Such generous servings too!100% recommendAlso a great location. If you eat at the marina, you are treated to some of the best sunsetsFriendly staff, will definitely return!!

Insanely delicious! Super tastey and filling. If you can’t make up your mind just go here and you won’t be disappointed. You get more beef than appears in the photo, I’d already had some. Would be awesome if you could mix and match the skewers you get. It’s hard to decide what to get they’re all so good!

Barraca is a great find for this passing traveller - lovely people serving up great food. And the location is perfect - carry your dinner around to one of the outdoor tables scattered around and watch sky and water turn red, gold and purple. And the food? So good we ate from there twice!

What a delightful surprise. Restaurant quality meal from a food van in 1770!! Great Portuguese lamb and perfectly cooked salmon. Presentation in the eco takeaway box is like a sit down dinner plate. A substantial meal to rival some Melbourne & Sydney restaurants. We were surprised and very impressed.

Delicious food, served by friendly family team. We had the halloumi, chicken skewers, surf and turf (beef and prawns). All we delicious! Accompanied by rice, salsa and potatoes in huge portions. Thank you!

This little food van creates spectacular flavors that some restaurants can’t even create.We ate here one year ago, when we last visited the area, then came back two nights in a row this year.Over the two nights we tried 6 options off the menu, including the donuts for dessert. We can safely say that everything was seasoned beautifully, the meat was tender and juicy, and of course, the service was amazing.Wagyu skewers were seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection.The sides were full of flavor and suited the meats without over shadowing the meats.Picado creamy sauce pairs perfectly with the meats that were served.The Chantilly cream was delicate and full of sweet flavor paired with the hot and sweet donuts.This family goes above and beyond to create a tasty and unique takeaway food experience in a lovely location. We will be back when we visit again! Thank you Barraca by the Sea.
