The Entrance Lake House
This place has gone downhill. Food was average at best for the price. And In this current climate, eating out is a luxury that I would rather give my hard earned money to an establishment that has good food, good customer service and an atmosphere. We don’t plan on going back.

Tonight I celebrated my birthday dinner with a big group of friends and family. We preordered the seafood platter and meat platter to share, to which I was very excited to experience as it’s a good mix of both meat and seafood which should cater for most.We were greeted by Sean, who was pleasant, attentive and welcoming upon our arrival. We had been sleep deprived, having brace the long drive from Sydney, at most surviving 5 hour sleep the night before so we ordered the coffee. Which was beautifully crafted and soothing to the throat - coffee perfectly prepared for us.Not too long after our main platters arrived, whilst the platters had an amazing mix of meat and seafood assortments, every dish didn’t taste freshly prepared. The Seafood didn’t come straight from the ocean, the meats were over cooked and tough, felt stale and didn’t hit the palette nicely. We ordered the pork belly , very salty and thank god we ordered salad to counter the saltiness of the meats. We ordered extra dozen oysters and as I am a huge fan of oysters, but it came out not chilled. The cooked prawns were pre-peeled on the plate which was a nice touch and made for a very well-presented seafood platter, it didn’t taste fresh like peeled on the day fresh. For these platters and at these exhorbant prices, I can’t say they were cheap nor fresh, which is what I expected for these prices. All in all, we left finishing what we could with our best efforts in mind (trust me, we ain’t a group who like wasting food). At these prices and quality I feel I got let down having read glowing reviews.Thank god the coffee which was amazing along with the top tier service from the staff and Sean who were very accomodating with us this evening.

Well I have done over 350 reviews from fancy places in Sydney with out of this world views to small country cafes and this place has the most expensive pot of tea on all the places I’ve visited. &6. Nice cafe, nice view and helpful staff. - but come on that’s just ridiculous for a tea for one person - a few tea leaves a bit of water and a tiny pot of milkFood looked nice and that seemed reasonably pricedMoral of the story is have a look at the menu before you order and to the owner realise that there are customers on their own who like to drink tea and don’t want to be ripped off!

I have to start with saying how wonderful the staff and service is at the restaurant from the moment you walk in the door. Extremely attentive without being bothersome and accommodating for kids. The day so hot unfortunately and the restaurant could benefit from air conditioning, staff and customers alike were very hot on the 40+ degree day.We started with the springs rolls and an elderflower cocktail followed by barramundi, the eggplant main, chocolate mouse and peach cheesecake. The food was very good, almost surprised for the little out of the way restaurant. A beautiful view right across the water which was glistening. Well worth booking in to this restaurant!

First time visiting The Entrance Lake House and didn't disappoint, the food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were great and very accommodating. Thank you Sean and your wonderful team for making our Mum's 80th Birthday lunch so beautiful, everyone enjoyed themselves and loved their meals!

I was robbed at this location this afternoon. I was lied to and I was taken for a fool. A mother's day seafood buffet is what I was sold. Unfortunately I couldn't seafood, there was no food to see. After standing in line for 10 mins I was greeted by empty trays and a friendly announcement stating that there will indeed be no more coming out. I still had to pay the full $70 per person and was not even offered a voucher to go and eat at any of the local spots who had managed inventory properly therefore managing to feed their customers. The manager or owner is a grouchy, rude and unfriendly character. I will not be back.

Spontaneously came here on a Friday night and the atmosphere was warm with good welcoming jazz music humming in the background. Sean was quick to greet us with a smile and was very accommodating, along with the staff, we are sure to be back here again.

The breakfast menu attached.Timings are seasonal but generally 8-11am on weekends.Didn't understand the hype.Firstly the kitchen closes an hour before closure timings.Secondly the breakfast menu is a little limited.Thirdly the portion sizes are very average. We ordered the Lake House Avo smash and the mushroom dish. The poached eggs in both were overcooked. The avo actually tasted like it was going bad and the entire dish could do with more flavour. The mushroom dish was very average in flavour. They were definitely understaffed staff with just one female waiter (who was very friendly and polite) serving for the most part. Those who were there seemed to be doing their best, but no doubt the service was slow and food did not meet expectations.

What a great place. The atmosphere was awesome the food was fantastic specially if you like your pork belly salty as I do. The shanks melted off the bone and the prawn and pork dumpings severed with that soy sauce were to die for. The staff where so friendly and only to willing to make sure you night was the best it could be. Thanks for a relaxing and filling night.
