The pricing in this shop is bloody ridiculous. A community that is made up of wealthy people is what vinnies in summer hill caters to, but there is disabled, disadvantaged, low income, single parents etc people that rely on going to this shop and its just filled with over priced second hand goods, its bloody ridiculous.

Great items but definitely well overpriced. I assume the store works on donations by big outlets (which would be a tax write off) or donations from the general public. Whoever googles prices are looking at the clothing at full price and have never worked in a retail store and understands how any seasons clothing stays in the store going through several rounds of sales before for are either donated or destroyed. And most large retailers spend most of the year with the clothing already with at least 25% off as well as “get $20 off with first purchase offers”.As for used items no consideration has gone into thinking how often these item have been worn, washed and dried or has just sat in storage for months to years. I’ve recently brought two items that I got to wear once and the zip has broken on both!! Money down the drain! Please get your price point correct and check each item throughly. A white jumpsuit (with a stain on it) from Sussans is not worth $30 second hand; that’s new or sale price (minus stain) and definitely not a vintage items!

I only come here to laugh at the ridiculous prices they try selling used Target clothes for!

Had an awesome experience shopping here, found some great stuff I hadn't seen anywhere else. Originally went in to check out their shoes, but ended up with a bagful of various thing's. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, especially the young lady at the front counter. Will definitely be back.

I had a lovely experience visiting the Vinnies Summer Hill store! From the moment I walked through the front door, I was greeted by the lovely staff members on the floor and front counter. Visiting Sydney from Brisbane, and having shopped at many op shops before, I found this store to be the most neat and tidy, and most organised and proudly presented store I have visited and seen so far in my travels. I found the clothing and items available for sale to be of extremely high quality, good condition, & mostly all major top brand labels - all reasonably priced & reflecting this quality as a result. There were also some very exciting rare & retro items available which always make for exciting finds! I can’t wait to visit the store and staff again!

It’s very sad to see charity stores that are meant to be for the needy turn their store into “high fashion” charging ridiculous prices for items they were donated by the community! Vinnie’s Summer Hill is a prime example. I’d be fuming if I donated my clothes here and saw the prices they charged Here are some examples below…

The store needs a thorough review of their pricing policy, as it doesn’t make both commercial and ethical sense pricing donated and used goods at such a premium, and in cases, higher than their retail value, unless they wish to go out of business soon. Do not recommend.

I think it's time that these charites" start paying tax as it is quite obvious they are for profit. I nicely ask if an item is negotiable and they were extremely rude and aggressive."

Use to be a great op shop. Now just staffed by price gouging goblins. Some members of society rely on op shopping to get by and this store is putting profits ahead of their supposed mission and values. Best to go elsewhere to other op shops in the area.
