Due to uneven and Sandy terrain on some parts, The 40 km ride from Bendigo to Heathcote rail trail is best on any bike other than racing bikes! Gravel or mountain bikes are ideal. The half way lunch stop at the Axedale was a welcoming spot for us! Luckily there is a group of 13 of us to entertain each other, I would not cycle this remote track alone ! The night at Heathcote was a good break with lovely dinner and entertainment at the Heathcote Brewery!
