There for a function. They had no idea what vegan meant and then served inedible undercooked rice. No dessert options even though they had 3 days notice of dietary requirements.

Great location in the centre of Monbulk, great atmosphere, helpful staff , and a varied menu, backed by a good selection of Beer, Wines & Spirits, &. Softdrinks they manage to cater for family groups well, no- one feels left out. An intimate dinner for two or a family Birthday, Monbulk Bistro does it well at an affordable price, and never feel crowded.

I dined at the bistro on Friday night and enjoyed my chicken scallopini immensely. The staff are very attentive and gave excellent service. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon!

Went there with a groups of friends, one order was missed and my friends meals didn’t come out until everyone else had finished eating.I ordered the “vegetarian pumpkin, spinach and pine-nut gnocchi” which didn’t have any pine-nuts and had no flavour. Also the “pumpkin” seemed like watered down soup.

Friendly local dining in a relaxed area.Good food, sometimes has live music acts.I do recommend visiting.
