Hidden Gem @ Marina
We were a group of 15 for a 24th birthday and we were placed on the outside deck which is not fully closed in and it was freezing. They said they had put the heaters on but not once were we warm and we all stayed rugged up in coats. Service was poor. We waited for someone to take a drinks order but ended up going to the bar ourselves. Food was OK. Nothing terribly amazing but tasty enough.

This gem should remain hidden. The gnocchi came out raw with solid pumpkin that was virtually frozen, swimming in oil, along with this the pizza we received was also swimming in oil with an undercooked base from the supermarket. For the quality of food received it was extremely overpriced and very disappointing.After eating one slice of undercooked pizza and raw gnocchi the friend who I was with got food poisoning for the next 5 days. Never have I been so disappointed in a restaurant before. Stay away at all costs

Out experience at Hidden Gem at Marina in Port Macquarie, NSW, was nothing short of exceptional. This restaurant genuinely lives up to its name, offering a remarkable dining experience in a beautiful marina setting.The food was absolutely delicious, and it's clear that the chefs put a lot of passion and expertise into crafting each dish. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, every bite was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences.The service we received was top-notch as well. The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable, providing excellent recommendations and accommodating special requests.To top it all off, the prices at Hidden Gem were incredibly reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the dishes, considering the high quality of the food and the picturesque marina location. It's not often that you find such great value for your money.If you're in Port Macquarie, I highly recommend a visit to Hidden Gem at Marina. You won't be disappointed by the fantastic food, exceptional service, and lovely atmosphere. It's truly a must-visit dining destination in the area!

Aptly named! It certainly is a Hidden Gem, the food was amazing and the whole experience was great, highly recommend it.Will definitely be going back there next time we are in Port Macquarie.

Very busy being Mothers Day dinner but staff were excellent. Pasta meals were very good and so was the garlic bread. Good wine selection too.

Had the pasta and it was delicious! My companions had risotto, chicken and steak and all said how good their meals were. Cosy restaurant with friendly and helpful waiter. I'd go back for sure.

We are always on the lookout for a great Italian restaurant having strong family ties to Italy and having enjoyed excellent traditional Italian cuisine. The Hidden Gem did not disappoint! It was excellent! There were 4 in our party and we shared calamari, meatballs, bruschetta and black clams to start. Every dish was amazing! We then followed with gnocchi, veal escalope, fish of the day and meatballs Bolognese and everyone enjoyed these too. The host Api (I think was his name) was fun and generous with his stories and personality. We enjoyed our night thoroughly and will definitely be back to try the pizza.

My boyfriend and I went last week, and we agreed that the cannelloni and pesto chicken were really good. On a Wednesday night it wasn’t too busy, so the food was fast to arrive. Not quite 5 stars because the garlic bread was basically butter on toast. We enjoyed the staff and outlook onto the water though!
