I ordered king whiting today, but a small fish bone stuck in my throat. The experience was not very good! But calamari is very tender and delicious.

Hands down the best gluten free fish and chips we’ve ever had! So grateful for the coeliac safe fryer, and my partner who isn’t gf felt they were the best fish and chips he’s ever had too, gf or otherwise. Super fresh fish and calamari, crispy, light, golden batter. Really friendly, helpful owner and staff. Can’t recommend more highly

Whenever you try something new especially something that you have been having since a kid your brain automatically has high standards because you always remember the good ones even from a young age.Pier 33 is now engraved in my food memory as one of those places for some fantastic fish and chips! I got a simple flake pack and added some extras. The batter was perfect and not overly cooked.The service was excellent and although I got takeaway I noticed that the shop was very clean and tidy as I waited for my meal to be prepared.If you want a great fish and chip shop in Brighton East this is definitely the place for you.

Excellent local shop that serves the freshest fish around. Don't miss the salt and pepper squid too, that was amazing. There are some seats outside for groups of four, and some seats indoors for groups of twos. Excellent food and service, all you can ask for. Definitely will return when we come back to Melbourne!

The food is delicious (not too oily like a lot of other places) and the service was awesome! The owners genuinely put a lot of effort into making your experience a great one. 5 stars for food, service and cleanliness. Highly recommend :)

Simply mouthwatering fish & chips - we gobbled up our meal in satisfaction. The fish portions were huge, chips crunchy and the coleslaw was delish! Service was friendly and quick. We will be back, thanks for a great experience.

Very clean and professional establishment , amazing fresh fish , all freshly cooked , in my opinion one of if not best fresh fish & chips shops in Melbourne ...highly recommend...the concept is fantastic, you can sit and have glass or bottle of wine or beer or other beverage with you dinner which is cooked in front of you ..all fresh very very clean tasting ..obviously in clean fresh oil, with care...great concept ...great shop and staff..10/10 in my opinion...not many if any fish and chip venues like this one ...unique and extremely GOOD!
