Circular phone line transfers between 3 staff & the same automated menu twice for around 20 minutes until finally getting through to someone who will help with a landlord insurance claim. And they were at international location providing extremely poor call quality, much of what they said was unintelligible.The initial email for submitting documentation I was provided with over the phone did not work. So I had to go through the phone process twice.The line just stayed silent at the end instead of providing an opportunity for feedback as advertised so here I am.And previously they took 3 months to process my motorcycle insurance claim here in Tasmania so that it could be repaired and put back on the road.

Absolutely appalling service. Has been over 8 months with a damaged property and still counting. The damage is that bad that a portion of the property is unusable. In the process of discussing with the ombudsman.

Terrible insurance agency. My husband died in a motorbike accident and they have already taken 15 months to process a claim for the motorbike he came off that caused his death still with no resolution. They have made the whole process an effort and have withheld information from me and have even asked me to do work for them that they could have done themselves at such a stressful time. Don’t go anywhere near them!

Our Builder had his liability insurance with QBE, and after a major error occurring in the renovation of our brand new kitchen, when the builder incorrectly installed a ceiling fan, it fell from the roof onto our new stone top benches which smashed our cook top and the force of the falling fan buckled the back of our oven and damaged the benchtops.QBE have been appalling to deal with. File owner was away from office for numerous days, at a conference, but no “out of office” or forwarding of emails applied. Constant following up, with QBE constantly asking for more information deliberately delaying the processing of the claim. We have been without a functioning kitchen for 6 weeks now, cooking outside on a gas burner! Appliances are going to take 6 weeks to arrive, ONCE claim is processed. Accident occurred on 1st of Feb and claim still not settled, and not looking to settle for quite some time. Poor communication, little empathy and numerous attempts to delay processing of claim. If you are thinking of insuring with QBE for liability issues, I warn you that they will gladly take your money for the premium, but when it comes to honouring their word and offering piece of mind and coverage in times of need they are pathetic! Steer clear

I have just concluded a 7 month saga to have a minor motor vehicle damage claim.Every single part of this process has been the experience, from the constant on hold phone calls up to 3 hours in duration, to the total and utter lack of communication. The repairer chosen failed to keep us informed of any update to the repair and constant delays to the repair meant we were without a vehicle for 5 weeks just for minor repairs.There was a promise of a reduced hirecar rate which we never received.I am cancelling my policy immediately and now insured through AAMI.I would never include QBE in any insurance needs

After trying 3 times to contact them via telephone to get a quote and not getting through after waiting for more than an hour I tried to use their online service and wasn't able to use that. If this is what it's like getting a quote I would hate to be lodging a claim.

My goodness, two hours on the phone and three times transferred to the wrong department. I get there are staff shortages due to COVID but this is an absolute joke. There must be insurers that are more competent than this lot.
