I reckon it's the best and most -- dare I say, modern -- music store in Hobart. The place is really clean and tidy, but packed with a lot of extremely cool gear just waiting to be put to use. If they don't have what you want, they can probably get it in for you. Like any musical equipment, it ain't cheap, but it's good stuff. I have given them thousands of dollars over the years and would gladly give them thousands more. The guys there are nice and they really know their stuff, so don't be afraid to ask.Worth mentioning: there's customer parking off-street, which I always forget about. But it IS there. So if you intend to buy some kind of monstrous speaker cabinet or drum kit, you can get your car close by.

Highly recommend Modern Musician in Hobart! I was looking for an entry professional level Alto Saxophone, but most shops only stock the cheaper student models. I saw that Modern Musician had one Sax in stock that I liked. But ideally I wanted to try a few different models to compare the sound, so I emailed Modern Musician to ask if they would get more instruments anytime soon. I was really impressed with their customer service. Thomas responded straight away and offered to order another one in, so I can play both and compare them. The other sax arrived the next week and Thomas was there to answer all my questions and help me decide which one to choose. You don't find this level of customer service much these days! Thanks guys, I'm very happy with the new Sax! :)

Purchased a guitar Monday, was sent a photo with a factory fault (doesn't affect playability) straight way. They didn't need to do this could of just sent it, but their honesty and communication is great, guitar arrived in Melbourne 4 days later packed perfectly.Would definitely recommend buying something from these guys, you won't be disappointed.keep up the great work.
