Harrington Park Chickens & Take Away

After moving to Oran Park early this month and starting to try out the local takeaway shops, the family and I were looking forward to some good old fish n chips from Harrington Park Takeaway!We rang through our order to save waiting for the food to be cooked, and while a bit surprised at the final price, we kept the order hoping it would be the best fish n chips we had ever tasted...I get back home with my son, un pack the food to serve up to the family...The Calamari was cold,The hockey pucks (sorry, potato scallops) were rock hard,The fish cocktails were more like eating square hunks of battered flour (not flake)The battered saveloy's were battered fat dripping in fat,While the gravy had more lumps and humps than a BMX track!!!The only edible part of our order was the chips with chicken salt, while still cold, at least digestible!So in saying this, I would not recommend this shop to anyone who has tastebuds or looking for an Aussie takeaway meal... Hell, I have much paid less and tasted 50 times better food at McDonalds!!!Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment and will continue on our hunt for tastey takeaways in the Narellan/Oran Park area!!!

Love getting my work lunches here. Their vegetable dim sims are delightful. They also have lovely customer service, great manners, and lots of patience. Top place.

Woman was irritated by something unknown to me. Ordered crumbed fish ended up being burnt and tasteless, cheese burger that ended up half cooked, fish cocktails which were the over processed kind that were also poor in taste and large chips. The chips cost $9 for about 3 large handfuls which is way over priced especially for bland chips. Will not be going back for a second try

Food is good when you can get it. Usually have to go around to Coles and get a second rate product because they are out of chickens by shortly after 12pm. New owners don't seem to have the knack of knowing how many chickens to cook because it happens so often. Previous owners always had chickens available.

The owners of this shop have operated take away businesses in the local area since the 1980s. Generations of the same families have been customers at their various shops. They have been invited by both narellan shopping centre and Harrington park to open businesses in their precincts because of the success and reputation of their food. Dont believe the negative reviews. The food is made fresh on premise every day. The fish cocktails are made on premise using filleted fresh dori. They're not processed. I know because I've been a customer for 10 years. Walk in to the shop at lunch or dinner. You'll be lining up with 20 or more regulars because that's how busy this shop is. Nobody ques up for poor quality food. This is a Quality take away.

Awesome take away we ordered a heap of food for the first time and tasted really good very hard these days to find good fish and chips but these guys were good.

AVOIDVisited this store on Saturday and spent $59.What a waste of money.Chips soggy, scallops over cooked all just tasted OFF.The salad looked about 3 days old, we wouldn't even eat it!Place wasn't clean at all.Rude customer service.

Not the best fish and chips

Not the first time they have provided us with disgusting/black burnt potato scallops hidden away in their white paper bag. How dare you pass this over to a paying customer. You should be embarrassed.

Yumiest fish and chips around, portions are great, more than enough to share. Delicious food, friendly service.
