I have been going to the Styling Stable for a couple years now. It’s hard to find a stylist who knows how to cut and shape curly hair, and I have been extremely happy with Janis, the owner. She always listens to what I say and my requests on how to change things, and has lots of advice when I am trying to decide on a cut or color to go to. I’ve been experimenting with red in my hair, and she has been great about finding ways to get what I want and explaining if something just isn’t possible. We managed to get my hair a lovely rich shade of red without bleaching it from it’s natural brown. Now we’re doing chunky red highlights and a dark base with a purple sheen and it looks awesome. The other staff are very friendly as well. I’m extremely happy with my hair. I go to the Styling Stable about once a month for a cut and color and I plan to keep going for as long as I live in Townsville.

I've been getting my hair cut and styled by Janis and her team at The Styling Stable in Kelso since 2012. Never have I been disappointed by their skills, knowledge of the nak products and the warm, friendly welcome.

Affordable, great stylist, very honest and transparent. Love my mini makeover.

Staff were very lovely and accommodating when I had to bring my newborn in. The salon was clean, tidy and spacious. Parris did a wonderful job fixing up over a years worth of regrowth, turning it into something more manageable and appropriate. The pricing and availability was great too.
