Grand Mercure The Vintage Accor Vacation Club Apartments

The accommodation was great, very clean ,spacious. Loved the fire, cosy.

Pleasantly surprised by the location, cleanliness and size of the room.

Stayed a couple of nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. Very nice and spacious room, it was a little dusty but otherwise fine. Garage came in handy getting the kids in and out. Pool area was nice, not too many people. This place is great for a short and long stays.

I stayed in apt. 203. for 5 nights. It was a ground floor apt. with 1 garage and the outdoor al fresco area faced the main road.Positives- large room overall. Lots of storage space- very neat and comfortable bed. Clean sheets, pillows and duvet- large and clean bathroom. Great lighting and great size bathtub and hot water- washing machine and dryer facility worked well. Easy to use- excellent waste facilities - 4 different bins provided- large fridge could accomodate lots of things for a 5 day stay- kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery, dish clothes, table matsNegatives- unclean outdoor alfresco area. Outdoor table and six chairs covered in cobwebs. Outdoor floor area also messy. Did not use it at all unfortunately- cobwebs existed under the furniture inside the apt. as well - inside sofa bed and under the orange single seat chair- the bathroom stank for five days from the bleach used to clean the bathtub and the cleaner used to clean the glass shower- very awkward design of driveway into the car park. It’s at an angle so tricky to reverse car out of garage daily- balcony of the upstairs apartment is directly above your alfresco area so you can hear the people above you speaking on the balcony….this went on into the night on some daysOverall a good stay. I would recommend it. Happy to give it 4 stars on this occasion

Stayed here for a few days..... Reception lady Rachel was wonderful and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and she went the extra mile for me a few times to make my stay memorable.... General Manager should be proud to have her on staff.... Right person in the right job.

Recently visited with my family and it was great. Very spacious and nicely furnished. Highly recommend their two bed room unit for your family trip. Reception staff were very friendly recommending a few nice wine cellars for tasting. Bought a few dozens of wine and would definitely come back next time.

Great spot in the Hunter. Very central. An oven in the 1bed apartments would be good but otherwise excellent. Recommend.

Stayed a couple of nights in a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment is well-designed and contains everything you would typically have at home. The washing machine, dryer and an equipped kitchen. There's a double sofa bed in the lounge and the bedroom contained a large king bed and TV which could be closed off from the living area by sliding timber doors. The bathroom is large with a shower and bath. If you intend to do self-catering, pick up your supplies from either Aldi, Coles or Woolies in Cessnock 10 mins drive.We are Accor members and have been happy with our stay. Our only criticism is the apartment above us was noisy.

Reception office personnel were not interested in providing any service beyond the absolute minimum. The main office reception staff for the Grand Mercure hotel were unresponsive and equally disinterested. The hotel's manager was elusive and could not care to help. The tennis courts were disgraceful - full of trees branches that were not removed. The nets were sagging, which made playing decent tennis games pointless. Hotel management promised to fix the nets for 5 days but did nothing. The gym was like a closet. Basically useless. The prices they charge to stay at this property should be $20/night, not $200.
