FREAK Penrith

OMG!!! This was sooooo f*****g amazing. We screamed and killed zombies and went up and down in lifts….WOW. Loved every minute of it. Ennis was the game master was great

We took our team to Freak as part of our Xmas party and had a fantastic time. David was a great host and made the experience really enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.

Ivan was so helpful and made the experience so easy to follow. Was such a great time and will be back again with friends.

The hosts were friendly, no issues there. The experience (arcade, 3 round shooter, single map, 3x8 minute rounds vs bots) itself was abysmal, and to be fair I'm not sure if it's the experience or my own poor choice for a Sunday family outing. My young boy (8 y.o.) was simply not ready for this experience, the dexterity, hand eye coordination is just not there for most at this age. Kids need some sort of previous experience with arcade shooters, for this to be a good experience for them, which is uncommon at this age. For other families with kids around this age, serious consideration need to be given as to whether your child can actually enjoy the content, or are we just doing this because it seems interesting. I can appreciate that this experience can be fun for a bigger group of adolescent teens, but this is not recommended for any families with young children. There are simply better and safer options out there for weekend entertainment. You do not want to be us where we spend $150 (2 adults & 1 kid) and your kid comes out feeling they were hopeless. There is very minimal way you can actually help your child during the encounter, and thereby influencing their experience. Telling your child on the mic what to do is not it.

The staff were AMAZING. They talked to us beforehand on what it was going to be like. I have to say I was a bit hesitant at first but they reassured me it was worth it and amazing. They weren’t wrong! I absolutely loved it and so did the kids. It felt very real and would definitely try it again. I highly recommend this crazy and friendly place!!!!

Booked VR Penrith for myself my partner and my best friend and her partner for my 30th birthday. A little disappointed as my best friends microphone didn’t work very well and she couldn’t communicate with us at all and it was supposed to be a ‘team’ effort. She tried to tell the guy and he attempted to fix it but no change.Probably won’t return because of this unfortunately.

What can I say - what an amazing experience I had today and how appreciative I was to see how much effort and dedication David put in to tell us about the games and our options!My wife was in a situation where she was scared about one of the zombies coming at her from the amazing quality of the experience. It’s easy to forget you’re in a virtual reality. he came straight to her to made sure she was ok.I really appreciate thatI highly recommend freak in Penrith and go see David and he will make sure your experience is only but the best
