Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
Paths not well labelled, no actual water falls but beautiful cascades. Perfect swimming spot and place to explore for historical and gold buffs

Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
Beautiful historic area. Good safe access for pedestrians cyclists wheelchairs and prams. Though if wheeled not all tracks are accessible. Lots of great information panels to read as you go.Remember to take a drink bottle with you as it was quite a hot wander. There are quite a few steeper parts to the track, however we navigated a majority of it easily with bikes. We walked the lower sections.

This is a great place to stop to stretch the legs or cool off along the road to Gundagai. There is a viewing platform at the carpark overlooking the ruins. From there you can take the trail and stairs down to a number of walking tracks through the ruins and to the river at the bottom where you can plunge in for a swim.We took the 20min walk and a quick swim before heading back up, which was a great way to break up the drive.

Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
A beautiful place, especially those ancient ruins in this valley, a place that is not crowded and good in summer holidays, especially when the temperature rises.I advise everyone, to pay attention to the rocks and reduce the place when going down to the gold mine, especially the parents that they should be careful about their children inside the river and when swimming. You can park the car in the park, and there is a special park for the disabled with a sign.information, if you come from afar, watch out for a road through the mountains.it is better to bring your food with you and there is a village very close to the gold mine if you want to buy food from there.Archaeological landmarks over 150 years old in Australia. You can read more about these monuments on information panels and pictures as well. There is no difficulty in reaching these trails, you just have to be careful when going down to the valley.

We called In here for a quick look and were blown away with the views of the historic site and information available to read on the history and past use of the site.Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do the full walk down in the creek area but would love to explore more in this area. Public toilets are available and picnic areas on site also...

What a beautiful place. Scenic, quiet...except for the sound of the rushing creek. Good concrete paths and steps giving excellent access to all parts, covered picnic tables, toilets and a massive mandarin tree full of fruit.

Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
Such an amazing place. Reading the plaques about the old buildings and history was really cool, make sure to fins the cottage ruins, it was a highlight. The river was so clear and beautiful... I wanted to have more time to explore down stream. It would be a great spot to visit when it's warm enough to swim

Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
Very interesting place with good information scattered throughout the site. Various access ways that suit most people, wheelchairs etc a bike challenging, not recommended. There's a Outlook area to view the ruins then pathways to get closer. As well as the ruins there's a beautiful waterway. There's toilets and picnic tables near carpark.

Adelong Falls is a must stop in the Riverina region. We stopped past twice while staying in Tumut. It was a quick 20 minute drive. The walk around the Falls is pretty easy for kids and adults alike and it takes around 20 minutes to get down to a large pool which is great for kids to swim in. The Falls are lovely and the history of the goldmines was interesting to our whole family.

A scenic one hour drive from Wagga Wagga. Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins is a great place for a day adventure. Bring some decent walking shoes and a camera. Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible. There are many steep steps and rocky paths. This place is stewing in history. There are many info boards along the walk, explaining the process of how the mines operated, and with mines as intact as they are it is easy to imagine how it once was. The running water makes for a relaxing time as you walk along. Make sure to look out for small lizards, butterflies and wildlife. We even found a turtle!Gold panning is popular and still viable. If you have the gear you might have some luck! There is a main car park with drop toilets and some shelter.
