Staff were ok, helped us find accommodation, gave us a great list of places to visit including the foreshore, which they raved about and a dog park for our wee terrier. Not outgoing overly helpful people but we got all the information we needed. Thank you staffOnly giving the one star is for everything they didn’t tell us!E.G… Our car window will be hit by a flying rock when going to Aldi. That there will be drunk people at the foreshore which were frightening. That a man will walk up to you on the Main Street, scream the C word in your face then walk off. That there will be locals abusing each other in the shopping centre where other locals just walked past like it’s normal. That there will be a man wearing a muzzle, with an aggressive white dog at the dog park that tries to get his dog to attack ours! All in all we won’t be back to Geraldton but it would have been nice if the visitors centre staff had warned us before our traumatising visit to Geraldton.Thank you

Went here to get an art map of Geraldton to do the tour of the area. Lady at the infodesk helped me out inmediately. The map itself wasn't quite accurate and clear. I suggest you go down Main Terrace starting fron the visitor centre and do as many side streets as possible. Including passing through a mall area to get out in another street. Then, close the art walk loop by passing parallel to Main Terrace but along the Foreshore. Once again, take your time to spot the street art work. The thematics are mostly Environment, Respect Our Place In Nature, Beach, Positivity and Imagination. The cheepest museum/exhibition like art work admiration you can do and totally satisfying!

Located right next to the foreshore on Marine Terrace, the city’s visitor centre is both a handy amenity for guests and an impressive piece of Geraldton heritage. This fine wooden building, dating to 1878, was the first railway station to be built on a government line in Western Australia. The building’s history has been painstakingly preserved, and fascinating elements from the old station are visible throughout the visitor centre.Head in for firsthand advice, leaflets, brochures and maps, and to book a flight or cruise to the Abrolhos Islands.

Drove from Monkey Mia & had a quick stop over for souvenir coin. We had a nice chat with two friendly & helpful ladies at the counter. They suggested a few places for quick lunch, we ended up eating at Skeetas Restaurant, which turned out really good. First time experience in Geraldton, thanks ladies for making our day special.

Very helpful once you find the way in. Footpaths closed due to construction work. Have to enter by pub side if you can find the signs.
