Woolwich Dock

Interesting part of old Sydney harbour. Cut into the sandstone. Excellent coffee shop up on the main road and the Woolwich Hotel is there too.

People were helpful, the facilities were clean and good services provided. I'll go there again.

Beautiful view, very quiet place

Outstanding quality service and professionalism! Well run operation in a stunning heritage compound. I was looking for a DIY boatyard and Woolwich Dockyard being the only one to offer so in Sydney, I made contact early on with immediate positive returns of communication thanks to Jane at reception. Everyone, including the workers went beyond their job description to help me out as a solo lady manning a 44 ft/12 ton ketch. Clearly I have found a long term boatyard I feel 100% comfortable with. I am forever thankful to Mitch with Buckingham Marine Services for his daily guidance faced with osmosis and the whole process, as well as for recommending young Jack to prep for the anti-fouling. Thanks to Al and his mechanic contact, I was able to promptly replace the heat exchanger and leave the dock shortly after. The replacement of a couple of through holes was professional and of quality. I was lifted out and put into the water exactly when scheduled. All in all, as much as hauling out and being on the stands for a few days can be a bit stressful, I felt having chosen Woolwich yard took some of the pressure off. I also thought it was good value, no wonder you need to book long in advance. I would do the same way all over again. Please pass on the word!

We antifowled our cat with some service work and found the staff so helpful from the office to the yardsmen.plenty of room to work and they have all the tradies required if you been them.yes we will be going back.

This is an excellent place to put your boat up and fix it nice clean floor plenty of people to talk to and all the facilities you require.

Amazing part of Sydney history - largest dry dock in the country, 1901 to 1958. Boardwalk all around for viewing - area is popular for weddings in the weekend. Plus lots of impressive boats moored. Get the ferry to Woolwich and walk around the area, finishing at a local cafe or the excellent Woolwich Pier Hotel.

Great crew, very helpful with our boat. Highly recommend!
